I just love Pedro Kantor - the only thing I wish he had was a Jump Pack, but that might be over the edge... anyways... since I opted to not play Crimson Fists, I needed to bash a "Counts As" model for him... Here's the WIP, so far he consists of:

1) Body of commander Azrael
2) Left Arm from a termie, with the LC's fclipped off and filed down.
3) an arm sprue from the new SM Commander box.

Here's a couple of closeups of the Fist of Dorn - I used a Combi Bolter from the SM Commander sprue, chopped off the plasma part, and added another Boltgun to it. I'm sort of upset that it's not level (there's a definite angle on the bottom Boltgun), but I'll probably fix it later - before I paint it. Also, I chopped the ammo can off of a SM Scout Heavy Bolter and added it... I didn't have any ammo belts/link feed belts laying around unfortunately... any Assault 4 weapon needs a big ammo source...





Some additional treasures yielded from cleaning the storage unit... I found an old boxed set of Warzone.. when they went to a new edition.
The Bauhaus and Imperial models seem like they'd work really well for an IG Army - the head are neat as all heck... have a look

That's my Sunday project.. I'm gonna get the "Fist of Dorn" finished, and hopefully get at least the basic painting done.

The warzone models were a good find..but I don't know what I'm going to use em for.

I bought one those Warzone starter sets about 5 years ago, back in my old game store for only 10 bucks. Then I "looted" all the miniguns they had it in there and put the box deep down in the closet . I was considering using them as Traitor Guard for my Nurgle army, but I don't really want to paint them all

Nice conversion btw., but you should consider cleaning him up a bit. The chest and face in particular look like they wont survive another coat of paint.

Cleanup is definitely on the top of the list... even tho that's only the first paint job - except for the yellow. Way back in the day when I first started 40k, I painted up Azrael - I thinkhe was one of the first ones I did.. Primed him black, and put the skin tone right over that...
The camera brings out alot of otherwise overlooked details... which I think is great - it'll help me get better.

I can't wait to get to work on this one... coffee, email, morning routine..then I get to paint.
