Sitting at the LGS looking at the daemon army book, and asked out loud, "Bloodcrusher Deathstar?". My friend sitting nearby took up the challenge and pointed up a list. How could it go wrong?!

Heros-
Skulltaker, Juggernaught
Herald of Khorne, BSB, Armor of Khorne, Unholy Victory banner, Juggernaught
Herald of Khorne, Armor of Khorne, Firestorm Blade, Juggernaught

Core-
10x Bloodletters
10x Bloodletters
10x Bloodletters

Rare-
17x Bloodcrushers, Champion, Standard Bearer with Skull Totem

With my employee discount at the store, it would only cost me about $370 to make this army, and I am tempted, just out of shear hilarity of putting down a unit of 20 bloodcrushers.

How does one crush blood, anyways?

with great gusto.

Seriously, that unit should run just about everything over. The Juggstar was the winner of the "build the best Deathstar" thread.

All in all, fact is that Warhammer 40K has never been as balanced as it is now, and codex releases have never been as interesting as they are now (new units and vehicles and tons of new special rules/strategies each release -- not just the same old crap with a few changes in statlines and points costs).

The best death star? Does that mean the most expensive one or an actually viable one?

Anyways, your 'death star' isn't invulnerable because you lack the battle standard of always taken. This type of army would indeed be hilarious as you said but I can't see it ever getting a result better than a draw.
