I have 2 rhinos and 1 predator for my marine army that I never play that I'd like to repaint for my chaos marines instead... should I just prime and paint over the old paint job? or if I strip them what's the best way to go? soak it in a bucket of simple green? would take kind of a lot of it to submerge the whole thing...

YO DAKKA DAKKA!

At least with tanks you can confidently get the ol' toothbrush in there and give it some work without damaging detail. So yeah, Simple Green or any of the other relatively plastic-safe cleaners. Then again, depending on what sort of Chaos look you're going for, battle damage and a shabby-looking paintjob may be what you're after.

If you can get hold of some in the USA, use Dettol. I stripped an old rhino of 3 layers with it and it worked a treat. I've been meaning to paint some photos, but not gotten around to it yet.

Though guards may sleep and ships may lay at anchor, our foes know full well that big guns never tire.

Simple Green is a fantastic bet, but be sure that there are some drainage holes in the hull somewhere, or the side doors are completely off, so that after the tank comes out you can be sure that there is no cleaning solution rolling around in it later, and to facilitate internal drying.

If it is not too slathered with Super Glue when it was built you can try to freeze the tank first, which helps weaken the bond on the superglue. You can carefully break the model apart most times that way and it would help to get it down into more manageable chunks.
