Busy scratch building a Killa-Kan for a friend who plays Death Skullz. Other than sticking a blue and white banner on a pole on top of the kan what kind of paint job would work well?

yea, and their main colors are blue and white. they love camo so lots of people tend to make them urban camo looking. So Id say dont paint the WHOLE Kan camo, but some of the armor plating and such would look awesome in blue and white camo

Leave any looted bits 'unpainted' - i.e. in the colours of the original vehicle/equipment that was looted

For a purely fluffy answer: Because it's Death Skulls, the Killer Kan would be a constant work in progress as the boys bring in new pieces for the mek, who would likely never find time or even care to paint it. Before battle though, it would probably get a good splash of blue warpaint with the rest of the boyz. So if you were to paint blue on it, I wouldn't be specific about which armor plates or pieces to put it on. I would instead make a simple pattern (a stripe, whatever... the same thing you'd see on a Death Skull boy but on a bigger scale) that covers the areas that is covers despite where the armor details might be! After all, this is dressing the thing up for war in a hurry, these guys aren't concerned about their image compared to the other clans.

I agree blue and white camo would look awesome on orks, but I dunno if Death Skullz would approve. Normally camo is reserved for pretty much only Blood Axes.

I have seen a few grand scratch builds with cans using sentinel legs attached to a box of plasticard and working up from there.
