Simple question: in 750+ games when the EC MUST be taken but DOES NOT take up an FOC HQ slot count as a KP, i still must pay the Points for him though.

Kill Points have nothing to do with force organization choices. The Emperor's Champion is a unit and is therefore worth a KP when killed.

The Blood Angels Death Company does indeed count as a KP. It doesn't matter that the unit is free, because it is a unit it is a kill point. What basis do you have to claim that it does not?

My bad, i got my Info from a friend who plays them, he said that since the free ones he got did not take up FOC then they also would not count as KP. Thanks for the help there.

Ok my bad i figured that since they didnt count as victory points that transfered over to kill points but I guess I was wrong.

But, they did (and do) count for Victory Points as well, both under 4th ed rules and under the new 5th ed VP rules (page 300, hardbound rulebook). So if someone told you they didn't count for VP, they were mistaken.

its in the FAQ on the printable codex that if you do not give them jup packs or mount them in a transport then they dont count as VP

The Death Co. "price" comes from other units.

They still count for KP though.

That's not entirely true. It states that a minimum sized squad without any extra wargear is worth 0 victory points.

Ok thanks you gys for clearing that up. I just figured that since a 5 man non upgraded squad was 0 points and didnt take up a FOC slot then they wernt worth anything. I guess I figured wrong.
