i am looking to finally start a marine army with the new codex so with this set http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat1020048&prodId=prod1420009
i am hoping to get a solid rock of infantry

does anybody know what the space marine captain/master have, and the command squad.
what heavy weapons are with the tactical squads if any

and it should be in tactics but im too lazy. is it a good idea keeping all the rhinos or should i not keep them because they're a waste of points i would like to fire the enemy to death and then assualt with my assualt marines and my command squad and caprian/master in the razorback let the steel paladins be unleashed!!!!!

i want to play and ride with you on your predator. i want to be friends with you
too bad alien scum
arrrghhhhhhhhh *cuts off head of space marine*
dat was fun friend....friend??? friend!!!!
humph your not my friend any more *walks off to the predator* now for some fun!

i play as and needs the new sm army codex!!!!!

I'm guessing the Captain model is this one, while the Tactical squads are simply the sprues from the Tactical Squad boxed set (ie they come with missile launcher, flamer and maybe a few other options--it's been many years since I've purchased one).

Rhinos are good to have, in general. Tac squads don't need them all the time, but they certainly can prove to be useful.

as far as fluff goes thats right,

each chapter has 10 company's and an 11th recruit/scout company.

each company is lead by a cmd squad with a captain with 8 squads of marines with a rhino per. 2 assault squads and a dev squad (i think)

now the thing that changes this is the 1st company that is only terminators and veterans lead by the chapter master.

and the 11th company that is scouts/recruits.

i beleive the 10th company is used to replenish the lost ranks of the other's.

but good luck, each company is 100 marines, wich makes a chapter 1,000.

unless you play Black Templars then forget all that and reving your chainsword is the only order you need.

In case you were wondering, its about 3,000 points of marines

Something might have been retconned, but to the best of my knowledge the teachings of roboute guilliman forbid any chapter from being larger than 1,000 strong, which means no 11th company, the 10th company is scouts, and the 6th through to the 9th are all reserve companies leaving 2 through 5 as battle companies and 1st for veterans.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

Did you miss the "8 tactical squads, 2 assault squads, 1 dev squad" part?

What are you talking about? The company box fully assembled has 60 troops marines 20 assault marines and 20 devastator (2 plastic dev boxes with 5 heavy weapons each and the extra tactical box makes 20 marines)

And Straight from codex Space Marines

1st company: 97 veteran space marines
2ond - 5th Battle Company: 6 Tactical 2 Assault 2 Devastator
6th-7th Reserve: 10 Tactical
8th Reserve: 10 Assault
9th Reserve: 10 Devastator
10th Scout: scouts

No... Care to explain what you mean, because I can't see how this applies to what I said at all.

I don't think he was actually talking to you. He just hit the wrong "quote"-button.
