Hi, im sorry if there has been threads/ads/etc, but i havent found any and im lazy at the moment.

Heres the deal, im getting some strom guardians coming in within the next few weeks [take forever to get the in from the uk] and a wraithlord [maybe, if that comes in too], an a few vehicles as well, and was wondering who in dakka offers their services in magnitising models/vehicles and the cost/time/etc

Thanks for looking

Check out Lormax's thread. I'm to understand he's very talented and reasonable.

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

Postage will be a killer but from the look of his work i happy to pay for it, unless someone in Ozzie can do the job to that standard

You might see if the source can mail directly to him. That would save you the Australia to US postage.

Not to detract from Lormax's business, but all it takes is a pin vice, the magnets, and a bit of superglue... easy conversion.

I did the arms on five of my exodite warlocks (kitbashed models) to magnetize the swords and spears while watching the morning news and drinking my coffee.

You are set if Lormax will do it. I just got done with magnetizing the heck out of my (6) wave serpents and (3) fire prisms, it was a fun project.

I went crazy on my last fire prism, the fire prism turret has a magnet on the bottom so it comes on and off the body of the falcon, then the fire prism peices (the cannon with the crystal thing and the focuser peice) are both magnetized so they come on and off the turret, so i can convert the fire prism to a falcon on the fly, then I magnetized the underslung shuriken cannon and finally i magnetized the flying base so that comes on and off.

Honestly its not hard, well getting the turret to be able to convert to a falcon one vs the fire prism one was more difficult, but the rest was a peice of cake. I just used a regular drill (though I'm sure a pin vice would be much more precise)

You want to get rare earth magnets. Mine were 3/8" x 1/10th circular (for practically everything) and 1/8" x 1/16" circular (for the turret weapons). I don't know how to post pics but if someone would inform me I could post em. I was hoping that the pics on Lormax's thread would appear for me, but for some reason I can't see them.
