Isn't there some rule that we shouldn't post stat lines?

Looks fine, is your "Terminator Strike Force Leader" = Master of Deathwing?

Otherwise looks fine to me.

well i want extra kick against armor, and its ten points cheaper besides the launcher is my longest range weapon, and since they can move and fire, the missile launcher has an effective range of 54" compared to the the 28"of the storm bolters and assault cannons, meaning the difference between 1000 pts and 10 pts over, i already have a second assault cannon on the dreadnought, what i need to do now is get some practice with this compact force, what really annoys me is that they don't have the same option as other term squads, such as Tank Hunters and Furious Charge, also, any help on how to keep them out of CC is welcome, it looks like in 5th ed, that fearless units can't fall back.....and all of the units in this list is fearless, can i have my units fall back voluntarily?

Honestly It doesn't bother me...just remember reading that somewhere...

As to keeping your army out of CC, that really will depend on your opponents game plan/army. You can always move backwords 6" but a DW style army works best within 24" imo.

IF you are really worried about CC then switch out one of your shooty units for a squad of assult terminators w/ lightning claws (power wep that reroll to wound) or th/ss (we only get the 4+ which hurts).

When you get to expanding this army I would definatly consider taking an Interigator Terminator w/assult terminators, and put them in a LRC. If you get another dread add a TL LC to give your army more firepower.

The first time your opponent finds out your runnning a DW army look at his face (some of them are priceless).

I might steal your list as I currently am converting my standard DA army to a RW/DW army.

these aren't DA, i am just using the rule set to bring my terms out and off the bench, i have over a companies worth of marines, haven't got a Landraider yet, but have been thinking about it, the one time i used CC terms, they died, but they didn't do bad, they killed 18 marines and 8 scouts, had it not been for a bad placing of a model it would have been better but i lost two when they deep striked their way in. i have a mix of 5 LC and 5 TH/SS and it works very well, the shields can help take care of power weapons and such and the claws give me rerolls on failed attacks, as for armies, i the armies around me include, Nids, Eldar, Orks, Marines, Tau and IG i think, at 1000 points i think i have good mix, i may end up switching out the assault cannon on my termies for another missile launcher, depending on who i am fighting, the Nids lack any real trouble, the Hive Tyrant was scary, but last time i played them a Plasma gun marine claimed the kill, i am thinking about giving him a trophy of some sort, and the Nids and the Eldar scare me the most, eldar are fast as hell and can just skirt away from my kill zones, the nids excel at rushing and once a unit gets tied down they will get crushed unless i toss in my Dready, any good ideas for setting up at the start of the game? as for the others, IG, don't scare me too badly they tend to hold a line and that will work to help me, Orks could be treated like the Nids roughly, since they have the same over all goal, get to CC, as for the Tau, i will have to Deathwing Assault their way onto the board, the marines will be tough, but like me they lose all the really dangerous stuff till 1500pts. any over all battle tactics on how to counter each of the armies would be awesome, thanks again for the help so far

One minor problem with your plan is that regular SM can't Deathwing assult (unless the new dex has given them a new ability that I'm unaware of). Otherwise your army is fine.

As to starting up in game, you either need everthing on or off the board. Since you have a dread, I would suggest starting every single terminator on the board and running/walking your way accross the board (perhaps 1 or 2 units to ds in).

This is where the cyclone missle launcher is so good, you can move 6 and then fire due to terminators being relentless.

A dark eldar mech list with night shields would have an easy time with this list. Save for the cyclone missile launcher (good idea btw) nothing else in the list has the range to hit the raiders and ravagers.

Yeah, cause we should all build our lists with the possibility of facing Dark Eldar in mind... Buuuut, if I were facing Dark Eldar with this list I'd probably just deepstrike right next to you and then shoot you down.

There are a lot of armies that will wreck Deathwing, but they also do really well against many of the "power" builds out there.

welll i got to try out the list today, against some Space Wolves, it was a tough fight, in the end it was 4-0, with me in the win, he dropped down with two Vindicators, a 11 Blood Claw Pack, a 6 man Grey Hunters squad, 2 Attack Bikes, 5 wolf scouts, a Wolf Lord and a Wolf Guard Battle Leader, i got to start(sorry everyone i didn't write down details) but needless to say their was alot of ones rolled in the game, but my saves held, i killed one tank, wiped out his Grey Hunters, scouts and Attack bikes, immobilized his other vindy killed 5 of his Blood Claws. i had 7 Terimnators(includes Deathwing Master) left and the Dreadnought, had the game lasted any longer by a few more turns i think that the game would have gone to him, but as it stood i had a terminator for each squad so nothing got wiped out completely, and i have to say, that the Venerable reroll saved my dreadnought from being crippled and destroyed each and every time. well so far for my first game with them(on Vassel) and they ran good, i was impressed and was able to send the wolves packing with a nice 4-0 win, so all leave comments and such, i will try to load the last image of the battle again sorry for the lack of details, i will do my best to get his list, well leave C&C thansk all
