Hi guys from the D6G

Great show down loaded every show so far and really love most of it. I was just thinking about how you guy felt about some other game you don't talk about, don't know if you don't get any of them in the states but it would be good to know your thoughts on some of the "euro" minis games and some others. So here is a list of some games i'd like your thoughts on, and if you have given it already then i'm sorry i must of missed it in the cast.

1, Inifinty, great 28mm si-fi game
2, confrontation
3, hell dorado
4, munchkin, the steven jackson card game.
5, MTG and CCG in general.

Also you could, if you want to, talk about the difference in gaming from the US to Euro, You guys game in stores and we have our clubs. Just an idea.

Great show and just one more thing, i game alot with my wife, and hearing WWA has been great the only prob is i can't get my wife to lisiton to that part of the show, many be the wife's have any idea how i could get her to hear the show.

cheers

As noted, Russ is the former owner of Dakka, but none of the D6G guys presently spend much time on the forums. If you want to comment to them on Dakka, the best place to do it is in their sticky thread:

Actually an awesome idea! Maybe you could get a guest online using a voice program? I'd love to hear about the 'metagame' from someone on the other side of the pond!

The idea is that it takes extra effort and time to write properly, and they’d rather save the time. If you can still be understood, what’s the harm? While most of the time a sloppy post CAN be understood, the use of proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling is generally seen as respectable and desirable on most forums. It demonstrates an effort made to be understood, and to make your post an easy and pleasant read. By making this effort, you can often elicit more positive responses from the community, and instantly mark yourself as someone worth talking to.

Sorry if i put this in the wrong place.

About the Meta Gamer, i play a lot of bloodbowl tourneys and we dont have a problem. I think this is because it's a sport's based game, and the rules for this kind of sport we all know.

It doen't matter who has the best uniform, or who played the best, the only thing that goes down in the record book in sports is who won. This is why in BB we dont have a prob (and also its a great game, very balanced and very little rules to fight over) where in war games there is some much more going on, best painted and the like.

Thats where some wargames tourneys, if based on an sports stlye of tourmament dont really work. If every team in the NBA had Michael Jordan playing for them it would'nt be much fun, but this is what you get in wargames. Most play the meta list with the same old things for the same old armys and it can kill the day.

Dont get me wrong some games work, but for wargames it would be good to have an event where its all for a overal goal for that army and some players gain awards for actions they do on the day that are highlighted.

Howdy Dave,

Glad I caught your post. Craig, Raef, and I normally focus our forum browsing to the sticky thread at the top of this forum.

Great ideas, we'll put them in the hopper for a future show.

Another great way to make sure we get your comments is to send an e-mail to info@theD6Generation.com.

Of course, all that said, if anything that comes up on the show also makes for some good conversation here on Dakka Dakka, then by all means, post away. There are a lot of great gamers here on Dakka that can give some excellent advice and feedback.

Thanks for listening & happy gaming,

Russ
