In your experiances what is the best way to weigh down a slota base? I am puting together a couple of test tyranids and i am having problems with the gaunts tipping over. Something like a penny works great for a regular round base, but it is a little hard to put that in a slot base. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

yup a nickel works better then a penny, so just take some snips and cut a nickel in half. Youll have to cut a little more off in the middle due to the slot, but glue those in the spaces and youll be good to go.

use the scraps from the metal models sprues that holds the metal guys together while they're in the package. If you dont have any a nickle works but have fun trying to get it to stick the the slotta base. Glue dont like Nickles.....

A bit of fine gravel and PVA glue would work wonders...plus its cheap!

I got a bag of those little round freshwater fishing weights that you squeeze onto your line for like $1 at kmart. I just take 3 or 4 of them and squeeze em flat with plyers (or you can snip em in half with clippers since lead is soft) then glue them to the underside .. works great And the lead will be safe as long as you don't lick it.

I use a tube of bb's ($1.20 at walmart) and Elmer's glue ($3 for a big bottle). You can fit about 20 on the bottom and it adds some real weight to it.

I just take my clippers and cut out the plastic in the bottom of the base, and make sure to clean it up a bit. I carved/cleaned up and glued nickels in to a 10 man tactical squad in about 10 minutes.

I find washers that will fit on the underside of the base and I greenstuff over top of it. Sometimes you need something like bolt cutters or a dremel to cut the thicker ones because of how tough they are. I also use little ball bearings or BBs.

You could use solder, just fill it with lead.

"I.. I know my time has come" Tethesis said with a gasp, a torrent of blood flowing from his lips.
"No! Hang on brother!!" Altharius could feel the warmth slip away from his dear sibling's hands

Tethesis's reached out his bloodied arm to Altharius's face.
"I..I have one final request"
Altharius leaned close to listen, tears welling in his once bright eyes.
"make sure th..they put my soulstone in a tank... it'll be... real fethin' cool"
"Yes, you're gonna be the most fethin' cool tank!!" burning hot tears streaked down Altharius's face, as he held his brother's soul in his grasp.
