Haven't done the vow thing before, so I'll start small:

Finish my Geno 5-2 Chiliad Command HQ and Uxor.
Clean and undercoat one squad.

May not look like much but painting time is a hard thing to come by at the moment so I'll be happy if I achieve this.

Hope I'm doing this right...

- Finalize Eldar Dire Avenger paint scheme.
- Test scheme on elite Eldar units.
- Trim and assemble 17 WE Glade Guard.

(I'm in classes right now so I'm giving myself attainable goals.)

Well, to try to keep up with my average of 1 model per day for the year:

Get 28 things painted. Unfortunately I would just hit the Lizardmen pretty hard, but it is too cold to prime.

Actual goals:

Finish Carnifex 1
9 Termagants
10 Battlemechs
4 Tyranid Warriors

And, something else, probably CBT vehicles.

Paint my Block 3 Tyranids:

14 Genestealers
8 Warriors
1 Broodlord
1 Lictor

Finish my Realm of Battle test square and write up the process.

Make some progress on assembling a Land Raider Redeemer, 2 Battlewagons, and a Vindicator and write up the progress notes.

Alright, I guess I'll bite this time. I've got some finals over the next couple weeks, but after that I may have some more time for modeling and painting.

So, conservatively:

If I can actually get through that, I'll get onto painting.

You're starting to make it almost sound feasible. If I spent two or three hours a day on it, I bet I could do it.

Hmm. Motivation...

I just had a glorious idea. Maybe every time I make a post on Dakka, I will post a new German word at the bottom. This could help me with the learning process.

Maybe if I get ambitious I'll even post a sentence. German-speaking Dakka posters, feel free to correct and berate me.

My vows for this month are to finish this Daemonette unit which I will probably not use any time soon (but they're so pretty so I want to finish them ). As well as finish at least half of my 400 point Combat patrol list, but all the full units in that list. What that means is the list is 5 Raptors, 6 Noise Marines, and 6 Havocs (4 HB). I'll paint 10 Raptors, 8 Noise Marines, and 10 Havocs. I have come under the idea that if I paint the entire squad at once (even if I dont use it all at once), I'll have the option of changing my list about on a whim. So to break to down easily:

10 Daemonettes
10 Raptors
10 Havocs
8 Noise Marines

With a new airbrush and compressor, I think I can make it happen!

I'm new to this so I'll start off small.
