Hello all, long time reader, first time Poster. I have organized an Escalation League which begins tomorrow night and i will hopefully utilize this site's articles section to detail the whole 9 week ordeal culminating in an Apocolypse game. But until than i thought i would introduce myself by posting up my recently completed Ironclad.

Standing right behind you...

Ooo, really scary! Nice paintjob and good armouring it on.
It's a venerable DN right?

One problem though, didn't quite like the 'Lego Rivets' on his chest.

Nice!

One thing you could add: scraches. At least on the Claw.
It would add realism to an already great model.

Yeah.......i can make much smaller rivets now, i might go back and redo the chest bit so it doesn't look so much like Lego.

That looks great, where'd you jack the skull from?

Nuclear: Properly pronounced new-clear, not new-cue-lir. There is no 'u' between the c and l, so stop saying it because it just makes you sound like a dumbass. This includes nucleolus, and all other derivatives of the word.

now THATs what I call a drednaught. Dreds IMO are right at home in the middle of a squad ripping them to pieces! and that one looks like it enjoys its job

I used the same kind of mask to make a Chaos CC dread. Looks great. Good conversion.

Wow, I like it.

The sarcophagus armor makes me want to dig out my legos, and turn them into armor plating for tanks - it looks awesome!

Speaking of tanks, I need to work on a Zimmert coating for them...

Well the actual dread used to be a VDR for my Templars using an old WD template for a Tycho Death Company Dred. So it had Titan feet from Epic, Furioso Arms, and dual Ghazgull Klaws. You had to cut the arms flat, cut out the back portion of the main Klaws and stick em on. All original parts were undercoated years ago and never got done.

So i basically just cut the blades off the one sides klaw, cut the bottom part of the hammer haft, gs and glued it on than surrounded it with spare cut out bits from who knows what to make it look better hehe.

I was wondering what the piece between the shoulders and above the head was.

Welp.......no clue lol. I think it's a hard plastic piece from a Gundam or Macross kit from years ago. Don't do them much anymore and any spares parts i had lying around got tossed in my bitz box.

The old peices of extra armor had smoke launchers built onto them (chest and shoulders) so i needed a search light. It fit real well with a bit of cutting so just stuck it on there.
