Just wanted to pass this along I picked up a bottle of this stuff at my local hobby store ...

http://www.plastruct.com/Pages/OnlineProductDetail.lasso?CCode=BOND-2

It's a styrene plastic glue, but it's a thin liquid like water. It does the same thing as other plastic glues like the testor's orange tube or GW's plastic glue, where it kind of melts the plastic and welds the pieces together. But this stuff since it's like water, it will flow perfectly into teeny cracks. Also I think since it's thin it dries and bonds much quicker and it also seems much stronger. I've been using it to put the COD building pannels together for my leviathan and it's been working great. It's got a little brush attached to the inside of the cap so all you have to do is put your 2 pieces together and brush over the seam, I'm sure you could use a fine paint brush too if you have tight corners that you need to get glue into. It doesn't distort the surface plastic unless you touch it and smudge it while it's still wet. It seems to have a really strong bond in like 5 minutes tops though it says it takes 30 minutes on the bottle. The stuff smells like rotten vinegar and probably causes cancer like every other chemical out there, but it works great

Hmm good to hear it works for you. Sounds to be nigh-identical to Tamiya Extra-Thin Model cement, which I absolutely love for many of the reasons you cited above.

And its a great deal cheaper than the 'sludge-like' GW plastic glue.

I've used something similar and it works very well. Haven't gotten any lately since I've mostly been working with metals, but it's great if you're doing a bunch of plastic kits. The bond is very strong and it tends to melt the edges a tiny bit to reduce mold lines.

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.

I've used this stuff for years. From regular aircraft models to tanks, and cars and stuff, it's indispensible.

I stopped using 'gunge in a tube' at the age of 12 (that's almost 30 years ago) when I was put onto this stuff.

Welcome to the future.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.
