I checked the Battlecollege, and they sang great praises of Reznik. I always take that with a bit of a grain of salt though, as they tend to really go on about slight increases. Like how Kreoss has low armor, but Reznik's is high enough to take a serious beating [2 points higher, and 1 less focus so potentially 1 point higher?]. They also make mention several times of his wrack ability, yet that of course requires him to be on the front line and that seems like a terrible place for a caster in my opinion, until late in the game.

His spells seem really nice, though, and some really good abilities. I was thinking of purchasing him and giving this list a run:

Reznik
Castigator
Blessing of Vengeance
Devout
Redeemer
Choir +2
Vassal
Heirophant WA
Wrack

Possibly switching out the Redeemer for a Revenger and a second wrack, which I think is the better option. The Castigator is the only heavy I have aside from the Avatar, but Reznik makes me want to buy a Crusader or the one with the cannon and the big club.

There's another train of thought on Reznik.

Surround him with your ablative infantry swarms. Cast Zealot's Rage on him.

Watch your opponent sweat.

Wouldn't they just shoot him, then?

If you take a Warjack, it's the Devout, or maybe even just get Gorman. Other options are
Vengers and Bastions.
