Ok, so I go into the gallery to clean out my unwanted pics, I delete one, it says lot's of stuff about this being my 'last chance' and 'I can't go back' so I click to delete it. Reassured by all the 'this was final' stuff, I click 'back' to head back and delete more pics and lo and behold, the picture has un-deleted itself this means
1) it took me a long time to delete all the pics I wanted to
2) it isn't really 'final' is it?
Is there anything can be done about this?

when you say you click back, do you mean your browser button (which would still show the picture from your cache), or the 'back to the image' link that is shown after deleting/editing?
Could you give me a link to an image that has this problem that you have tried to delete once already? I'll take a look - things are definitely supposed to be deleted after you click delete.
The gallery is stored in a different place than forum attachments - there is no chance that you mean forum attachments are still there after deleting an image from the gallery right?
Thanks

I mean the one on my browser, as for a link, it doesn't matter which one, they all do it, if I want to delete one I have to go to the gallery it is in (unless it is one of the top rated ones), then click edit image details, then click delete image, then I can't go back to the image page because it has been removed, so I have to go back to my gallery homepage, then rinse and repeat, this means if I wanted to delete several images it would take a long time

Ah ok I see what you mean. The best way to delete images is as follows:
Go to your gallery homepage:
(eg: http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/user/4786-legoburner.html)
Click on the gallery title for the gallery which contains images you want to delete. This will load a search results page for that gallery...
From the search results page, under each image is the 'Edit image details' link. Click this and open it up in a new tab for each image you want to delete (requires firefox or IE7+).
Then just delete the image and close the tab. Go back to the original gallery listing (search results page) tab and refresh it to verify that the images have been removed properly.
There is no fast way to remove images from the gallery as it is something we generally want to discourage. Let me know if this advice helps though.

Yeah, I figured that out after the first post of this thread, I just wondered if there was a faster way or if it could be fixed
