During the christmas GW gamesday event in Vancouver a few years ago i bought some plastic sprues.

It wasnt my current army so i never looked at it carefully ( but when i start gluing them recently

i noticed it was actually miscasts ) Do i bring it to store ( they'll probably tell me to ask mail order )

or do i phone mail order directly?

I encountered defective spelling!

Just call GW. They'll make good on it.

It *might* be a problem if you bought individual sprues, but try GW. They're usually quite good about such things.

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.

Columbus, Oh

They are not as forgiving if you delayed many years though.

I picked up a 40k set from years back, still in shrink... the 2 part marine sprues... one was damaged (warped) badly.. called GW and was told I was outta luck cause the sprue was no longer available..

Are the sprues you have still in production?

I dont think there is much GW can do about that even if they wanted to!

In all seriousness though as long as its still a current line GW (in my experience) have always gone out their way to be as helpful as possible when it comes to this sort of stuff. Either ring them or pop into a store.

They could have sent him a new sprue. Or a refund/store credit. That the specific sprue was out of production is no excuse for not replacing a faulty product. I think the MO troll on the phone was just being an ass.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

I encounter defective Gw products all the time, they usually starts with the words Codex or Warhammer Armies.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

If you bought them as sprues, regardless WHERE, you will probably not have any luck.
Their defense will, likely, hinge on 2 things:

1) You don't have any code #'s from boxes tha they need in order to process the replacement.
and
2) If they were in sprue form, they'll say you should have looked more carefully.

Heck, if they were selling individual sprues, that's probably WHY they were selling them.

Somewhere in south-central England.

The only problem is the length of time between purchase and complaint.

Depending on the nature of the damage, it might be considered you had mistreated the sprues somehow.

However, in my experience, GW are very good about offering replacements for defective products. You may as well ask -- the worst that can happen is you get nothing.

They wont make good on this. I tried with my Dark Angels Codex.

They also refused to take back my defective vehicle damage dice.

What about the fifth edition rulebook? Even the amateurs who have tried to fix it (INAT FAQ...) have failed miserably.

I've had pretty good luck just calling GW. Their mark-up is high enough that they tend to look at the big picture and keep the live ones like us happy and buying.
