If you have a Jetbike Autarch attached to a Warp Spider unit, you have a pretty fast unit. 12" in the Move Phase, run (WS) /fleet (Autarch) 6" in Shooting Phase, then move in the Assault Phase (the Autarch can move 6", the Warp Spiders move 2D6"). That gives you a unit that can move at least 15" per turn, and up to 24".

I was going to use this combination to help grant Withdrawl to my Autarch and help out the Warp Spiders in HtH. The Laser Lance is so much better on charge.

Legal?

Thanks!

Mez

Well, I think I just answered my own question for one thing. In 5th, bikes can't run or fleet, so forget moving the jetbike in the shooting phase.

I'm still wondering about the movement in the assault phase however....

In the movement phase it would probably be fine, but in the assault phase I'd say no,because the warp spiders move 2d6 in the assault phase and the jetbike only 6". This would likely bring them out of coherency and of course no running for the bike. IC's have to move out of coherency with the squad, not the other way around

I would think so since they can both legally move in the assault phase. They still have to move at the speed of the slowest model so if the spiders roll crappy for their move the bike will be stuck moving that distance and if the bikes roll more than 6" they'll still be stuck moving 6".

Actually its "up to" 2D6 inches, so it isn't a problem, they just all have to move at the rate of the slowest model in the unit.
