That is very cool, I love it.
Maybe a bit of a contrast wouldn't hurt?
Also, I'm jealous of the metal Daemonettes, should've got some before the plastics came out...

Hahar, finally someone's taken that beautiful model off his terrible base. Dynamic model and wonderful paintjob, it would make a wonderful centrepiece.

Thanks guys.
Ziggy do you mean the contrast of the photos or the paint job? Either way your right both probably need a bit more contrast
And yeah I have noticed a lack of people doing this conversion.

I really like the scheme you have used on the juggernaught, what colours did you use?

Nah, photos fine, I don't know how you'd do it but maybe a bit of blue or green, or better yet, White dots as eyes, that would be great as it would break up the whole face area.
Still a great model though XD

The colours I used (as best I can remember)
bones and skulls = skull white with gryphon sepia washes.
juggernaught - dwarf bronze with devlin mud and gryphon sepia washes
skulltaker's bone armour plates = deneb stone, with two washes of gryphon sepia.
skulltaker's flesh = skull white, watered down red ink mixed with a tiny bit of skull white, baal red wash. After that he was reddish pink. I used lots of layers of baal red wash and gryphon sepia wash to build up the recessed effect.
Metallic golds on various other stuff.
For the eyes its hard to tell with the photos I took but I painted yellowish-orange colours in the sockets and around, then put a pure blood red dot on each eye. it looks okay-ish in RL but in the photos it can barely be seen. I think I will take Ziggy's advice and put a skull white dot in there.
Damn I love GW's new washes though, they are such a joy to use. Much of this model was done with little effort simply building up using washes from a skull white base.
I can't wait to use him in game now I use to field skull taker on foot and he didn't do so well. Going to a small 800pt tourney on friday so we shall see how he does.

Actually, as I understand it, the Taker of Skull's legs are positioned just right for mounting a Juggernaught
hmm... what I just said could be taken as innuendo, oh no

Skulltaker could benefit from a laser tongue reduction and/or removal procedure.
I mean, it looks like a 3rd horn in the middle of his face!
(Either that, or he's really happy to be on the battlefield...)

It's close but not perfect. You have to slightly bend the front leg, which sucks because its a tiny piece of very thick metal. I hurt my hands, then ended up using pliers which hurt the model a bit, but greenstuff fixed it
In fact ever since I started modeling daemons they have been hurting me!! Daemonettes poke me with their sharp bitz (old metal ones). Its a very different modeling experience to converting nice flat smooth space marines.
