Ok I'm thinking of trying a reasonably competative daemon list. I've had a lot of luck with a similar list at 1500, so what do people have to say?
(I've got most things available from the codex, except for fiends/GUO/ and Seekers.)

Looks really similar to my 1750 list, although I exchange the KOS for the Bluescribes, and swap some stuff around in the troops (12 Bloodletters, 9 Horrors, 7 Plaguebearers), and my soul grinders are naked.

I'm curious as to what the KoS is in there for? He seems a little out of place compared to everyone else. I would drop him for either a Great Unclean One (at which point you could buy 1-2 more blood crushers). Or some Tzeentch Heralds on chariots to give you some more ranged anti-tank.

The KoS I've found has two advantages, firstly, more anti tank, I've become a fan of close up HtH. Secondly, He's one of the few units which will be able to take out entrenched units. I'll try it out with a tzeech herald, (only have one) see if it's effectve

Ok, assuming i drop the KOS, and give the thirster blessing. What do I spend just shy of 250 points on? I know I suffer against heavy tanks, (AV14) so I'm ont too keen on bolts, (player a raider list yesterday, no use what so ever.

So I'm thinking either pray I don't get any and maybe take a khorne herald on Jug with might and rend to turn the crushers into a poper magnet! and add in some more horrors and split them into about 2 8-9 horror units - anothe rscoring unit + a bolt.

Or maybe take a DP and bulk out one of the scoring units?

Any thoughts?

DP with wings and any upgrade/mark you want imo.

How about a second blood thirster with blessing? Say drop the KOS and a plague bearer to make it fit?
