Dipping With Wood Stain

Hi all,

I currently have a thread in the P&M section: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/225183.pa

I am looking to have the pustules, in the center of each growthy area, stand out a bit more.

Would making them darker take away from the pustule-boil feel? What other color options do people recommend?

Here are some examples

thanks and take care

Pustules are from infections. Infections are brighter/hotter in color. The flesh is red/pink with a yellow white center. It's going to look odd with your blue tones.

IMO: you want to turn the flesh whitish grey. Dead flesh has a variety of colors in it (ochers/yellows/some blueing) but mostly looks like wet cement. Moving from a whiter tone to a reddish tone will work. Moving from blue to red will not. Also, you will need some blisters and less craters.
