Subject: what colour should I prime my guys?

I want to paints some daemons mostly in the tzeentch area (flamers, horrors etc). What colour primer should I use? I will be using a lot of blue, gold and pink paint.

i would prime with white.
all tzeentch daemons can be painted to an amazing standard using simply ink and washes over a white base coat.
however, gold isnt too good on a white base, better on black.

the gold will only be on a daemon prince. So should I prime him black the rest white?

what skin colour will he have?
if he is the same colour then just prime white and paint all gold areas black 1st
allthough, if you use blue ink over where gold will go it looks nice, make sure its a heavy ink though.

then best off with a white base coat, ares that will be gold just need a heavy blue ink 1st.

I use white for everything, and I've never had a single problem with primer.

white prime is always useful on painting a bright color for a model. i've used for paint my BA as well as my DP that i working on.

An artists gold acrylic ink goes very well over white because of its high pigmentation. You could also try using Goldleaf but you will need a solvent such as Xylene to wash your brushes off with. I woudl also reccomend that if you use goldleaf use a seperate brush.
