Hello all,
Playing around with options for Eldar (not that I have these figures listed), but wondering about how these would do in a competitive framework?
5 Dire avengers + wave serpent + BL + SS
5 Dire avengers + wave serpent + BL + SS
5 Dire avengers + wave serpent + BL + SS
5 Dire avengers + wave serpent + BL + SS
5 Dire avengers + wave serpent + BL + SS
5 Dire avengers + wave serpent + BL + SS
Fire Prism +HF
Fire Prism +HF
Fire Prism +HF
Farseer on jetbike, Fortune, guide
Warlocks on jetbikes, destructor, embolden, enhance
2000 points on the nose.
The idea is that the DAs would not be exiting the wave serpents under any circumstances, wave serpents are now scoring and would hang back picking off nasty vehicles and monstrous creatures with the bright lances.
6 scoring wave serpents that can move very quickly means that they can come in late to pick off objectives.
Fire prisms are for destroying hordes or anything else - holo field will make them last. They can also contest objectives.
Command group on jetbikes are the command squad killers - or should at least bog down a unit. With fortune, guide, embolden, enhance and invulnerable saves, they should last a bit even against some tough opponents. The witch blades should assist in cutting down their foes as well.
Thoughts?

So you have an interesting list idea there.
The first thing I note is the lack of SS on the Prisms- an absolute necessity in my mind.
Also, how many warlocks do you have? Adding this all up, I get 1980/2000 if you take 3 warlocks, one power each. Maybe you didn't list some runes that the farseer was taking?
Anyway, I think that I would drop your farseer and warlocks and add an autarch so you can get your reserves bonus going. Maybe even make it Yriel, since he can pretty much own a single squad once per game, and put him in one of the serpents. Then you have ~135 points to play with, if you've added the stones to the prisms. So maybe take a unit of 4 swooping hawks with an exarch with a power weapon and intercept? This would just be for those pesky monoliths, or a fast moving unit to help contest, or whatever. Really, those last 135 points cuold be spent on anything you wanted.
As to the effectiveness of this list, it actually doesn't look too bad. I run a mech reserves list, but it's a bit more... traditional than this, and it works well.
Of course, you're going to get Slammed in comp scores, but yeah...

Pretty sweet idea. Id suggest two things
1) Getting EML's & that single shuriken cannon for massed rate of fire. Possibly keeping a single Bright lance.
2) Only have 4-5 wave serpents although I can understand how the serpents are providing your main firepower.
2...b) Use the points to get MOAR warlocks on bikes,

Oh I played against this list in 2007 hardboyz, course it had 500pts more stuff.
I rolled it cause I got first turn and I got lucky. Otherwise yeah, its painful.
Instead of guide, I'd take doom. Cause eventually you'll drop your avengers out of the serpents, and 30 avengers on a doomed unit, makes a doomed (hehe) unit.
Also instead of enboldem on your warlock squad, you might want destructor. 2 Destructors is seriously good times. Your farseer should have runes of warding, and if you could find 20pts spirit stones is a strong option.

Thanks guys for the feedback.
Embolden was there to ensure that there are no failed psyker tests - can reroll if you fail.
Yes, three warlocks with a power each.
