Forever alone

After Emperor: Battle for Dune, the franchise sort of died off in terms of gaming. Sure, LOADS of novels are being released, but it's been eight years since the release of Emperor. Where's my sequel?

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

Westwood's no longer around (It's EA now), and I think that the excitement died with the company. Westwood had a soft spot for Dune as Dune II: The Building of a Dynasty put them on the map for RTS games.

Doesn't look good. Sorry, man.

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1

IIRC, Emperor: BFD was co-developed by EA and Westwood, as was Red Alert 2, C&C Renegade, and Tiberian Sun. Westwood just got incorporated into EA, so there isn't much reason to kill the franchise.

Gathering the Informations.

Pretty sure that they actually lost the license after Emperor as the Dune franchise was getting rebooted by Herbert's kid and Kevin J. Anderson...

I don't remember though.

Either way, Emperor was awesome.

Standing right behind you...

Dune died from old age, unpopularity and Parkinson's Disease; as did the Foundation Series, Mario and Robocop.
