LOl actually you spelled it correctly!
Do you mean defferent from eachother, or different from themselves pre and post wash?

@lordhat i meant how does the 3 compare / look after they

Im asking because the other thread i saw really nice ork metal with just boltgun metal + wash.
and i only have mithril silver to do my silvers so far. Wondering if i should buy some.
woo... much appreciated if someone with digi cam and 3 silver color can paint up random plastic sprue and wash them
so i can see the difference xD

I imagine you have black.. If you add some to the mithral silver you can work it down to bolt guns darkness. It's what I do if I run out of a certain color late at night.. Make it

Okay, here we go, just note that all of these are done over white primer, and are done with a wash of Vajello Black Glaze instead of Badab black. However, the basic idea should remain the same.
Boltgun Metal:
Boltgun Metal with (heavy) Mithril Silver drybrushing:
Boltgun Metal and Shining Gold mix (fairly thick):
Boltgun Metal and Shining Gold mix (very watered):
If you look at the barrel of the psycannon of the second terminator, and the sight of the storm bolter of the third one, you'll see pure mithril silver. as well.

The bolt gun has larger flakes in it so you see more variation in the color of the metal and larger still with chain mail and they are darker in pigment.
The mithril is very fine and has a blue tint to it you can use the wash to darken it to compare to bolt gun.
