Isn't 31st Century Games in Olathe? Don't they host a small 40K tourney on the 1st Saturday of each month?
I think the one for this weekend (7 MAR) is a 1000 point army. Registration starts at 1130 and the cost is $5. I read somewhere that there are 3 games and some type of prizes for a few of the winners.

The secret to painting a really big army is to keep at it. You can't reach your destination if you never take any steps.
I build IG...lots and lots of IG. |

I play at Tabletop Hobby and Game at 105th and Metcalfe most Mondays, but it's mostly the same people. If you've been there, I'm the one with the plague marines who are 0 for 4. Next Monday I'm switching to Orks, to prepare for an Orks vs Imperials apocalypse battle next month.

Tabletop is where I buy my stuff but it's a commute for me so wargaming on weekday nights is out. The Apocalypse game sounds interesting. What day of the week will they do that?

I think april 12th. 3,000 points per player, for every Ork player who shows they will allow one imperial player. I might have my stompa ready by that time.

3000...all painted? I might have that many IG. I'll have to check it out in AB. I may have to build a few more vehicles. They're easier to paint than more infantry. Are inquisitor allies allowed?

Not positive, but it is apocalypse, so it's pretty much anything goes. It's a 30 mile round trip for me, but it's the only chance I have to actually do anything with all the toy soldiers I've spent so much of my money and time on. I've been to 31st century, a looong time ago. I didn't even know it was still open. The last store I gamed at besides Tabletop was Goblin games, and I'm pretty sure it went down the tubes years ago.

How many points do you guys use at Tabletop on Monday nights?
Do you expect more IG or more Ork players for the Apocalypse game in April?
