It is meant to be competative. Does it look like it would do well for 1500pt tourney games?

competative? yes. Cheesy? definately. actually, i don't think you could get any cheesier than this list. only possible fault is that you don't have any assault troops (i'd take one unit of berserkers rather than plaguemarines, but that's me.)

It will probably do well. I would change the plasmas to meltas though. It gives you a little better anti-tank and can one shot nob bikers. Changing to meltas also means you can have 2 in each squad.

The only thing I can really nitpick is that Meltas wll solve more problems for you than Plasmas.

you may also want to consider swapping a unit of PMs for Berserkers to act as a kind of "hammer" unit. They can protect your Princes from assaults and demolish things the Princes pull towards them. It will remove some pressure form the Oblits which are currently the only real killy aprt of the army.

I personally don't play any troops other than and PMs as well (when I play higher points I add Termies), so it is mostly personal preference. I have been strongly considering a unit of Berserkers over a unit of PMs though. They jsut provide a bit of aid in an area the list is lacking a bit. Granted, you get decent control over when CC happens and who is fighting it due to lash, but it is much less scary to be in CC and much more possible to actually win a combat with the Berserkers, rather than just bog units down with the PMs.

Hmm. I had been debating on Melta vs. Plasma in the list a lot. I will test both, but I am sure the Melta will be helpful. Both are solid choices, I think.

As for Zerks, I will test them. No harm. Just buying this list won't set me back even $400, so I have some wiggle room money wise (I was aiming at $500 for the whole army). I think that may be wise to try, because I rely on counter-assault units in my other armies as well, so I see the logic here.

Anyhow, I am not one of those players who cares if it is cheese, but if it strong and will win, I am all for it.
