Any way to get thread subscription email notifications to include hyperlinks for URLs pointing back to dakka?

As it stands one needs to cut and paste the link into a browser from the email.

This is planned eventually but is very low priority as a majority of email programs will automatically make the link URL clickable.

In the case of Thunderbird, this is only true if the email is plain text (in which case Thunderbird will linkify the (missing) link.
Dakka's subscription notification emails are formatted in HTML currently. May I suggest the formatting be changed to plain text, or include the link HTML markup around the URL portions of the message? Something is already inserting HTML tags in the email, assuming this is an editable template file somewhere it should be fixable.

Originally this forum software did not support HTML emails at all, and I had to bolt that on for some compatibility issues elsewhere. As a result of that, there are parser/validation related issues with HTML syntax that I need to resolve before I can edit the links to be clickable (a pain I know, but I'm on top of it). Thanks for the useful debugging though!
