If you are going for daemonzilla, a Mark of Nurgle Prince with wings, Iron hide and noxious touch is 5 points cheaper, tougher, and better in CC. I would suggest those.

This is good. Then take your saved points, and buy the Keeper some Musk, so he can Hit & Run.

hmm nurlge DPs sound well and good but my only gripe is the 5+ invul. i mean, a lascannon hitting a Tzeentch/nurgle dp will always wound it on a 2 anyway (or other AT) its just that the tzeentch get a 50% chance to deflect it. but it does look rather tempting to use. T6 monsters

It's not plasma/lascannons that are the issue so much; it's massed small-arms fire. Mr. Nurgle Prince gets a 3+, followed by a 4+ (essentially equivalent to a 2+ armor save). Against AP 3 stuff, he's better than the Tzeentch DP.

i understand what you mean about small arms fire, my DP has been downed by several storm bolters as it is. Oh just re-read my codex, the DPs dont get the FNP assuming thats what you mean by the followed 4+ save.

Yeah - no FNP for a demon prince. Ever. Demon Monsterous creature HQ's of the nurgle inclination get FNP sure. never the heavy support prince.

Demon prince will get shot at by lascannons. You cant rely on cover saves. a 4++ Id say is better than a T6 w/ a 3+ save (and its 25pts vs 60) although you do loose out on noxious touch.

Im not sure why the wings are concidered worthy when they have to deep-strike. There can be too much mobility.

How about
Demon prince
+MoT
+Breath Of Choas = 135

The savings you get from this would allow you to bag a MC hq. Or a another squad of blood crushers. Or to bulk up your troop-choices.

If you really wana go crazy on the princes then add in
+Wings
+iron hide at a total of 225 pts. Breath of Choas >> Unholy might by far.

I have had this debate many times. And while sometimes you will be ok just deepstriking in, having the ability to stay out of rapid fire, and assault range and then still move into assault is VERY helpful. It also allows the Daemon princes to hunt down tanks more easily.
