ok iv tried to find this in the rule book but i cant. What i want to know is if you summon a greater daemon will they have their proper abilities? I want to do a tezeentch army and use the lord of change, but if hes just going to come into combat as a big bird with no spells or powers whats the point? I was thinking that the powers of the greater demon from the warhammer game transfer or something, but i have no clue how that works. any help would be sweet

If you want to use fantasty daemons in 40k may i be the first to recomend that you look at chaos daemons ... you might find it more you're thing

any way CSM only get a generic greater daemon it gets nothing really to right home about other then it stat line which isn't that bad

ok, so if i use CSM and summon the lord of change its only there to be a big bad demon and cant cast any spells? Also, if i summon a lord of change would its movement be any different because it has wings or would it still have the normal 6" movement of other units?

The Greater Daemon that the Chaos Space Marines get is the Summoned Greater Daemon listed in their book, so yeah, no spells, no interesting rules, just a big stompy monster. Oh, and they can charge in the turn that they are summoned.

Look on the bright side, Summoned Greater Daemons are relatively cheap.

Codex: Chaos Space Marines have a single generic "Greater Daemon" entry. Regardless of what model you use, all CSM Greater Daemons have exactly the same stats and abilities; none of them are psykers or fly.

Similarly, all "Lesser Daemons" are identical, stat-wise. A Bloodletter model, fielded as a Lesser Daemon, is no different from a Pink Horror.
