Here is my Necron Army. Start to finish over a weekend except the monolith which I worked on at the start to the week.
Just thought I'd throw it up here for a first post. Been hashing over some the Necron rules which has me scouring the forums.
These are down and dirty.
Maybe about 12 or 15 hours total in the army including assembly.
Sprayed black (Krylon Ultra Flat Black Camoflauge paint)
Sprayed silver (Krylon metallic shimmer - nickel)
black ink wash (mix paint, ink, matte mediums)
Then some weathering with red/browns and orange browns.
The base is done with cobra leather drybrushed with VMC desert Yellow. This if finished with some rust colored weathering powders for variations
The monolith was done with air brushing and drybrushing. Only the gold details on the front were hand painted.
Regards.

This is a fantastic example of how simple techniques can produce a stunning tabletop force in very little time. Good work, sir.

Very nice! My son's doing his necrons with Rustoleum sprays this weekend: black primer and a darker metallic than boltgun, black and brown washes, then detailed by hand. Your's are much brighter and have great detail on them, particularly the weathering effects. Way to go!

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money
"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

For an army that was basically completed over a weekend, that is totally awesome. The weathering with the rust is really what does it, I think. Very cool.

while depressingly familiar colour scheme wise this is an undoubtably well painted army especially for such a short timeframe.

The speed + quality you complete this army in, you might as well as start taking commission for painting services xD

Well done for an army that was painted in such a short amount of time. Are you going to add any more models?

I do some here and there but mostly paint for me. 3 kids means not very much painting time.
Great job! ive never used an airbrush before, all my necrons are hand painted and they take alot longer to paint well done!
The airbrush is a god for painting single color armies. Space Marines, Tau, Necron...etc. It allows you to get base coats down quickly and efficiently for tanks and infantry.
Are you going to add any more models?
I've got 8 immortals on deck and a Destroyer Lord.
Potential adds
28 warriors
3 destroyers
1 Heavy D
C'tan Nightbringer
2nd Monolith.

It looks great, especially for the time, although simple.
That's an awesome idea for painting an entire army for a tournament that's too close for comfort.
