So this week I had a light workload since all the other orders are missing one thing or another, so I took a couple days and treated myself to getting these overwith, the biggest of the bunch.

Display board, a WIP. Its going to look just like their bases. I have three rhinos, some russes and a vindi just asking to get torn up. Im also going to have a double walkway with billboard in the back, for the pathfinders.

I have about 5 armies specifically for adpeticon to go, and then I am taking a week and a half before adepticon off to finish it. It's all built other than the board, which should be straightforward.

NIce! how did you do the rust stains?

On the lords its called "juicing." Basically very thin paint in a little amount on the brush and then you sort of apply it over and over in the cracks.

On the bases its mainly mig pigments and using salt as a mask.

Woo, whats the theme / background story to this army?

Doesnt really have a backstory, just the theme of death, and rust. Everything around them is broken, dead and cold. As Wraiths are constructs powered by dead Eldar, I thought it all kinda meshed together.

Memento Mori means "remember that you are mortal."

Who is the person in the banner o.o? pointy ears!

An image of the soul of the person inside. I tried to make them look eerie and tortured. The spirit affecting the image and material because of its extreme level of emo. Imagine being stuck in that thing forever!

Doing one is amazing; doing 4 to that standard & consistency (in quality & colour) is really stunning work.
& then you top it off with a great start to what I'm sure will be a great board - please start a blog on this.

There are only 3 there, although I do have a wraithlord/ avatar that I dropped midway because it isnt in my list. Its just a wraithlord posed in more of a dynamic stance and it just has one of the big spears in both hands. No guns.

Ahh, your fallout/retro eldar. Though, I am a little sad to see the lack of rocket fins, The sheer brutality of your painting and basing makes up for that.

Yeah I decided to stray just a little from the 50s feel and just keep the colors. Thanks for the compliments!

Simply amazing work. The color scheme works beautifully and contrast so well with the bases. Ever since 1st edition, I've been a huge fan of banners and yours complement the model so well. I'm additionally bummed I'll be in training while Adepticon is happening. I'd love to simply see this caliber of work all in one place.

They are plasticard warped with a lighter. I love to make banners if you cant tell hehe.

Ive decided since the rest of the army is going to be one two week chunk of madness I am going to do a daily update blog when that time comes, two weeks before the con so keep an eye out!

You should check out Litko Aerosystems. They have industrial towers and walkways, and I think they have space corridors too.

Brilliant painting and interesting theme, even the idea of wraithbone 'rusting' doesn't bother me.

What I'm struggling with a bit here is the randomness of the rust effect. It feels like you've applied it without much of a pattern to get an effect or add interest without making it really feel like part of the model.
It feels more like you said "How would this look with a rust effect" rather than "How would these creatures look if they became rusty"?

Please don't take this as negative criticism, perhaps just as a way to look at your approach next time to achieve a more coherent look?

IMHO the 'face' flags look a bit off, but the rust affects are great and the eye-flag looks very nice indeed.

Okay i had a closer look at the pics.....whoa whoa whoa...eldar with rust???rust!?! i didn't think eldar allowed such disgrace to thier constructs! could you please explain your reasoning behind this?
