GAME START
We rolled for mission and deployment and ended up with Annihilation and Spearhead. My opponent won the roll for 1st turn and decided to let me go first which I was more than happy to accept.

DEPLOYMENT
Tyranids deployed behind the large rock area terrain piece.

TYRANID TURN 1
MOVEMENT PHASE
With no targets yet on the board, the Tyranids simply moved up and to the right awaiting the arrival of the Daemons through the fabric of reality.

DAEMONS TURN 1

MOVEMENT PHASE
The Daemons tear through reality and arrive via deep strike just infront of the tyranids. A soulgrinder, a bloodthrister, flamers, bloodletters and daemonettes all make their presence be known.

SHOOTING PHASE
The Flamers of Tzeentch attack and kill two tyranid warriors. While the Soul Grinder shoots it's Tongue at the Hive Tyrant and hits nuthing but Cover.

TYRANID TURN 2
MOVEMENT PHASE
The tyranid reserves all come into play except for 2 lictors. The broodlord outflanks from the right on the empty side of the board. While 2 genestealer squads outflanked the left just infront of the Bloodthrister and Bloodletter squads. The Lictor also secretly deployed in the nearby woods preparing for a combination assault on the bloodletters. The rest of the Tyranid army moved forward to meet the Daemons in mortal combat.

SHOOTING PHASE
The Tyranids having moved prepared to fire away. The only ones capable however were the Warriors who decided to pay the Flamers back in full and let loose a barrage of deathspitters upon them. Sadly most of the shoots scattered but enough hit to kill 1 flamer.

ASSAULT PHASE
The Tyranid finally launch their offensive assault on the Daemons. The Hive Tyrant swoops in upon the Daemonettes of Slaanesh, 2 Genestealer squads and a Lictor assault the Bloodletters and also engage the Bloodthrister. While the 3rd Genestealer squad assaulted the Soul Grinder and Bloodthrister as well. The Hive Tyrant understimated the power of the daemonettes and while he unleashed mighty attacks upon them, their switfness proved too much to handle as only one laid dead and her sisters raised hell onto the Tyrant who got ripped apart by the Daemonettes's powerful rending attacks. The Bloodletters were no match for the Genestealers who caused a great deal of wound wiping them out before they were able to fight back. The Bloodthrister followed the same fate as his invulnerable and armor saves were unable to protect his iron hide. The defiler suffered an armament destroyed on his dreadnaught close combat weapons and managed to hold on and crush 2 genestealers and remained in combat.

DAEMONS TURN 2
MOVEMENT PHASE
The Lord of Change, Another Unit of Bloodletters and a unit of Plaguebearers all entered play this turn.

SHOOTING PHASE
The flamers used their wind of chaos on the Tyranid Warriors killing another 2 Warriors in the process.

ASSAULT PHASE
The Daemonettes assaulted the weakened Warriors for a 9 vs 5 all out brawl. The Defiler which was still locked in combat with the genestealers won combat killing another genestealer and forcing them to fall back.

TYRANID TURN 3
MOVEMENT PHASE
Another Lictor entered play this turn appearing from the woods behind the Defiler. The untouched unit of warriors moved through cover to launch their assaults on the enemy. While the carnifex moved up prepared to engage in assault.
SHOOTING PHASE
The 9 Warriors barraged the Bloodletters with a salvo of 8 deathspitters and 1 barbed strangler. Which completely decimated the blood letters.

ASSAULT PHASE
The tyranids go on the offensive once again with a furious assualt on the defiler and plaguebearers in an attempt to prevent them from causing major damage in their following turn. Killing 1 plaguebearer in the process and the Lictor took credit for blowing up the Defiler who had the last laugh as his mighty explosion burned 6 surrounding genestealers to a pile of ashes. Meanwhile the Daemonettes and Warriors continued to combat each other for the upper hand ending in a draw that left 2 daemonettes and 1 warrior dead.

DAEMONS TURN 3
MOVEMENT PHASE
A unit of flamers made it into the fray just behind the Genestealer unit. The other unit of flamers moved forward towards the full unit of Genestealers not involved in an assault. The Lord of Change also moved forward.

SHOOTING PHASE
The 2 units of flamers shoot and wiped out an entire unit of genestealers and 1 Lictor who proved no match against the winds of chaos and warp fire.

ASSAULT PHASE
During the assault phase the plaguebearers were wiped out by the genestealers and carnifex combo. And the Daemonettes finally gained ground on the unit of Warriors eliminating them.

TYRANIDS TURN 4
MOVEMENT PHASE & SHOOTING PHASE
The Tyranids moved forward to engage the Lord of Change and to take care of the nasty flamers of tzeentch that were killing Nids left and right. The warriors managed to get rid of them in a hail of deathspitting death.

ASSAULT PHASE
The Lictor & Carnifex faced off against the Lord of Change. The Lictor chipped away 2 of his wounds and the carnifex finished the job thereafter.

DAEMONS TURN 4
MOVEMENT PHASE & SHOOTING PHASE
The hounds finally made their appearance all too late however as most of the army had already been sent back through the warp. The Daemonettes however moved in and killed yet another Lictor, ripping him apart but not before he could return the favor to two of the Daemonettes remaining.

WoW those daemonettes did a number on the tyranids.....

And whilst you're pointing and shouting at the boogeyman in the corner, you're missing the burglar coming in through the window.

Well, Duh! Because they had a giant Mining ship. If you had a giant mining ship you would drill holes in everything too, before you'd destory it with a black hole

Nice report, that was a strange Daemon list. He spent like most on his Greater Daemons.

If you smell bad, take a shower before playing me. I hate when people devote too much time to something that they can't even shower.

Poor listing on the daemon side if you ask me, and some funky deployement...

I don't play Daemons, but isn't it considered bad taste (fluff) to have all the various daemon gods together? I thought some of them hated each other.

PROSECUTOR: By now, there have been 34 casualties.

Yes and no, In the fluff certain affilications don't play nice with each other (Khorne vs Slaanesh/Nurgle vs Tzeentch), but there are no actual rules to prevent it (except one about characters not joining unit of another affiliation). In fact playing multiple gods is practically required as each of the affiliations is so specialised you need to branch out to bring a balanced force.

For me I bring Slaanesh and Tzeentch who don't have a rivallry and have complimentary ethoses.

Church: So it is a sword, It just happens to function like a key in very specific situations.
Caboose: Or it's a key all the time, and when you stick it in people, it unlocks their death.
