The installation of the game is as normal I believe (the same as any other game,) the only real difference is you will need to set up a Game account on their main site via your game code key. This is what will allow you to play the MMO, and a similar code set up will grant you your CE bonuses. (Although you'll need you main account created first.)

Now I can't remember if during installation it sends you to the main site to register or not. But if it doesn't you'll get to a point where a downloader will activate.
If you haven't made your account by then, you'll need to go to the main site and create one. Then you can activate the downloader and once all the patches are done, you can jump on into the game.

Hopefully thats what you where looking for.

Aye, there should be no issue there, because your game account is really just your billing info, and the username/password you'll use to log in each time.
The fact the game isn't installed yet shouldn't matter.

Unlike other games, the retail key for an MMO is actually to set up the game account, which has been online for the three MMO's I've played.

Hope you enjoy the game, I'm still pondering a second look, but I'm waiting for expansion info before I really consider if I'll return or not.

So how different to WOW is War?

In what sense? The basic control layout is similiar but the actual game is quite a bit different to play. It is more focused on RvR (Realm vs Realm) than PvE. It is not balanced at all for 1v1 or PvP. You play as a group, and in teir 4, you play in very very large groups. It is a lot more bloodthirsty and there is no vagueness to who the good and bad guys are, which actually helps in the RvR as you really get to hate the other side and makes you want to assault their keeps that much more or defend your own. Money in the game, while somewhat usefull, is not nearly as important as it is in WoW.

Being only a few months old it is not nearly as polished as WoW, though it is at least, if not more, polished as WoW was when it launched. The devs are adding stuff and holding events all the time. In the end though it is a social game so your experience will vary greatly depending on the friends you make in the game.

Well WOW comes down to notheing more than spending your enitre life in the game so that you can run the same instance / raid 5000 times to get the right drop...

and then they update the game and your drop is a peice of gak....

I guess thats my question

This is more about being in a constant state of war with the opposing side. Gear isn't as make or break as it is in WoW so you won't have that issue as much. Like any combat situation there is downtime where neither side does much, then one will make a move on a keep or zone and it is on.
