It really all depends on your play-style. Lylyth is a great caster IMHO, but she's only fury 5, so it's hard for her to keep an animus up every turn while casting her own spells. Plus she has a RNG of 12" with a POW 12 attack that she can fire 2 times, so that's one fury probably already spent each turn.
Each Warlock for Legion has something new to offer their beasts and infantry. Since you plan on going with a Warpack though, here's what I would suggest.
Sereph - Very strong light, with a great ranged attack. Able to deal with infantry. Has critical poison, so there is a chance he hits a living model on a charge attack for P+S 12 plus 4 D6. It's Slipstream animus can move a model it passes up to 2". This makes Nephilim Soilders dangerous. It also has Wings, so it ignores free strikes and all models when moving, this means it can pick it's battles. Down side is it's very high points cost.
Nephilim Soilder - Has a high MAT, with a decent P+S 14 attack. It's animus will make a model charge, but you get to for free without forcing, and if you destroy a model with the charge attack, it may then move up to 2" away, and make a new attack. He has Glide, which is mostly like Wings, but allows a charge at SPD+5 instead of the normal 3. He has Reach, so this means he has a effective attack area of 13" when he wants to charge. He's also great for a Casterkill run.
Angilus - This is the Alpha of your warbeasts. It has a high SPD, has Wings, Reach, good MAT, and has a Thrust attack. It can half the ARM stat of a model it is attacking. Most high ARM models are 18, so thus they dorp to 9. Giving the fact that the P+S of the Angilus is 14, this is nasty. On a charge you are looking at dice+5 and 3D6 on most targets. This is enough to cripple any Jack/Beast in the game. It's also Ravenous, which means it can move 3" after destroying a enemy model with a melee attack. It's not alot, but you could use it to retreat the Anglius back, or press forward to deny a new target the charge.
Hope this helps some. If you want, I could go over some infantry with you also.

Since you're picking up the warpack, you probably don't need too many more warbeasts right away. I'd probably just pick up a Seraph for now.
If you are planning on going beast heavy, I recommend getting the Shepherd and Forsaken solos, getting a Fury 7+ warlock, or both.
For infantry, I'd look to either Swordsmen or Archers. Swordsmen are P+S 9 Weaponmasters and can help take down hard targets while the Archers have CRA and Concentrated Volley, making them useful against hard targets and infantry swarms.

Hmmm. thanks to the both of you for that.
Another Question: How does Thagrosh, Prophet of Everblight compare with Lylyth?

Thagrosh vs. Lylyth.
Thagros has very high fury stat. Standing with a 7, he makes for a great caster for a Legion horde with 4 beasts or more. He also has a ability to gain a fury point if he leaches less then his 7. This really helps alot when when its late in the game and most of your beasts are destroyed. This keeps you from having to cut into yourself so much to gain fury. His feat is probably the best if you plan on using a "beat-stick" type of play. He gets to return one destroyed warbeast back to play, as if nothing ever happened to it. He has a decent list of spells that work to buff you own units/beast, and deny enemy warbeasts. He has a high MAT, high P+S 16 weapon with reach. He also creates a cloud-effect when he destroys a model that causes a POW 12 damage roll. This makes him good for dealing with infantry, although I wouldn't advice him just for this use.
Lylyth is more support to her warbeasts. She has Pathfinder, Bushwack (allows her to move after preforming an action) and Bullseye. Her weapon has a RNG 12, POW 12 profile, but what makes her really stand out is the rules that follow her bow. She has Witch Mark, Blood Lure, and Arching Fire. She gets to cast spells on a model hit without having line of sight, and doesn't need to have range. This means Lylyth can stand still, fire her bow, then retreat and cast a spell from a safe distance. She ignores intervening models when she fires her bow, and a model hit by her bow suffers the Blood Lure. This is where she shines(IMHO). Your warbeast can charge a model with Bloodlure for free, giving you that extra fury to save for another attack. The down-side to this is that Lylyth is only Fury 5 and cant handle several beast running hot at once. Her feat allows all models in her Control Area an additional die to all attack rolls. This makes sure that most models will roll MAT and RAT on 3D6. Her spells dont really stand out to me, but her Bad Blood spell makes enemy warbeasts think twice about running hot.
Thats pretty much it in a nut-shell. Sorry for the long post. I ramble.
Over-all
Thagrosh is more of a support warlock with the ability to control several warbeasts and buff his units. He also has great combat ability that can come in handy when he needs to defend himself from a threat.
Where Lylyth is more of a "hit and run" type warlock that cant handle too beast and offer no support to units. She would be better played with several lights and Shredders, making them missles against the enemy. Lylyth is very hard to hit, but she cant take much damage. She also lacks combat ability, and if she gets stuck in one, she will die.
Hope this helps.

This is my take for Thagrosh in a 350pt game of a Tooth and Claw. Here's the list
Fraction - Legion of Everblight
Model Count - 5
Victory Points - 12
Thagrosh
Angelius
Nephilim Soldier
Shredder
Shredder
This idea here is to deny enemy warbeasts with Twisted Form. If you happen to play against a Warmachine fraction, then Death Shroud helps. It's best used on turn 2 since all models in Thagrosh's Control area will gain concelment(even enemy). This will add +2 DEF to your beasts from ranged and magic attacks and cause enemy beasts/jacks to suffer -2 STR when they try to charge or engage you. Thagrosh's feat is great in such a low points game also. The target of this should always be the Angelius(unless they never touch him). Shredders can be forced to go Rapid, and become little missles against a beast/jack. I would send both in as a pair to ensure you cripple the target. The Nephilim moves fast on a charge, hitting a model up to 13" away since it has reach. Dont worry though, Thag's control area is 14" so he should still be able to handle the Nephilim moving so far away.
For a decent 500pt list, I would add in the following
Blighted Swordsmen (10)
Incubi (5)
Forsaken
The Forsaken can consume fury and provide a Blight Shroud, or boost attack and damage rolls against a solo or a damaged beast/jack. The Swordsmen can hit a target really hard, and are great for infantry or any other model for that matter. Add in Thagrosh's Draconic Blessing, and they swing for P+S 12 on 3D6, or 4D6 on the charge. They also gain Terror, which can really help when the enemy trys to mount a counter charge against them. Incubi are great with the Swordsmen since they will be at the front lines. They have 2 P+S 12 claw attacks and also cause Terror.
This is a very easy list to use, since the tactics are pretty much straight forward. Move up, hit the enemy head on, deny them the ability to counter. Hope this helps.
