Mazdamundi goes in with the Temple Guard in the front rank to get the impact hits. As I read the book this is allowed! The Temple Guard have the Sacred Duty Rule forcing them to set up around the Slann. Mazdamundi, however, does not have the Guardian rule, which normaly forces the Slann to be in the second rank. Chakax goes in with the unit to make it Unbreakable and to pull challenges away from Mazdamundi. The Temple Guard unit would be three wide on either side of Mazdamundi (total of eight bases across) and six deep. The Saurus will flank the Temple Guard and the Skinks will hold the edges. The Engine will go between one of the Saurus units and the Temple Guard. The combination of the Engine and the Chotec Standard makes Mazdamundi's unit nigh impossible to hit with missile fire.


Another option is to trade the Engine of the Gods for two units of four Kroxigor, though the Engine helps more with the magic.

I would suggest trading Chakax for another engine. Two engines plus Mazamundi and his steg means a triple steg hit on units, or a dual engine hit on anyone who picks on the temple guard.

With the points left over you can get a salamander or two to whittle down blocks.

That is not a bad idea... but the idea for Chakax is to make the unit unbreakable and to make sure that no one can challenge Mazdamundi while Chakax is alive. It also allows for re-rolled look-out-sir rolls for the unit.

As I think about it more, I become torn between Chakax and the second Engine.

I searched CHakax, just to see if anyone else was gonna use him, but Lord Mazdumandi cant ever get a Look out sir roll! beacuse his unit str is too high, right?

Mazadamundi can sit in the unit yes, but he can also be shot at independently because he is a large target, meaning no he gets no 'look out sir.' Still I think this army has some very good ideas going on in it, and I approve entirely. Good list.
