Starcannnons arent any good at all unfortunately.

And from those leftover points give your Scorpion Exarch a Biting Blade to go with his Claw.

Indeed, its a fluffy Iyanden army.
I'd add two cheap Wraithlords as already said.

Doom. You wound on 2's!! Why ever bother?!

Guide - you want to re-roll the weaker roll. Doom would only ever be useful to selectively re-roll on the wound anything that isnt a 6, to get the max no. of Instant-kills possible which could be useful when targetting a squad with IC's with only a few other unique models in.

So doom could be useful.. thats why you bother. Guide on both with spirit stones, its just worth it. Doom aswell on one - when you need to do use that tactic. The 25pt investement when your sinking 800+ pts into units that could make very good use of that power.. very worth it in retrospect.

Wraithlords - more, agreeded. Starlances are a bit poo. Brightlances/EML's would allow you to take out/stop/slow very mobile long ranged vehicles. Id say you want two Scatter laser + shuriken cannon wraithlords with one EML+ brightlance wraithlord. Swap the shuriken cannon on the wraithlords if you want them too be better at combat. Swap the sword for the scatter laser instead if you reeeally want to use them offensively in a H2H element.

As youve got bugger-all units, getting a cover save will be tricky. Conceal may work better with the fortuned wraithguard as they are the majority of your army.

Also Harlequins w/ a death jester + shadowseer.. 5man team could provide that 4+ cover without being targetabble while you move your short-ranged wraithguard up the field. Move them aside when you shoot. it will cost 13pts less than the current 8man scorp squad.

alrighty thanx for the insight...

i changed the wraithlord over to the scatter laser and shuriken cannon and added another wraithlord that has a brightlance and eml

now im just debating on what to fill with the remaining 108 points for the army...i wouldnt mind boosting up the scorpians to 10 but that wouldnt leave me too much points to fill as it is already...now adding stalking or the other skill for the scorpians seem nice but in reality ive never really used them to much...really only used stalking once and wont use shadowstrike with just one unit if it wont have any support

and ive used doom before...however would it really make a differnce since the guard wound on 2+ in the shooting phase and i usually have the scorpions clean up afterwards

updated original post with new suggestions added

again any comments or support would be greatly appreciated

Ok, there are 2 major places you are lacking in power. One is at range and the other is in your deployment zone.

As things stand, you only have 2 units that can shoot farther than 12 inches and those are your dreadnaughts. You may want to consider putting in a third with a missile launcher (and possibly a bright lance depending on how the points work out).

The second place where you are really hurting is in your back field. In objective games, you're going have at least one objective in your deployment zone. Do you plan on keeping one of your wraithguard squads there to hold it? Sounds like a bad plan to me. You'll want them moving forward to capture the enemy's objective(s). To that end, it would benifit you greatly to take a small squad of pathfinders to hold rear objectives. It also would help add on a bit more ranged firepower.

The third place you are kind of lacking is hand to hand. Right now, the scorpions are the only really hard hitting hand to hand unit you have and against assault armies, you are going to struggle keeping your wraithguard moving. You may want to consider putting in a small squad of quins to help bail your wraithguard out when they get sucked into assault.

As a final note, with your current setup, having doom on both farseers is a waste. The only unit in your entire army that doesn't wound on a 2+ is your scorpions. Since they are only likely to be fighting one unit at a time, it doesn't really make sence to have doom on both farseers. To that end, just take it off of the second farseer and use the points on other things.

i do agree with having problems with range and so far it is hit and miss with it during the games ive played...the only problem ive came across with that is with open areas and thats on avg about 1 outta 3 games...however hopefully but doubt it ill be able to get in a good turn to use my lords to eliminate the bigger threats to range during games and would love to add another lord but dont have the points to get one (only 108 pts available)

now with the objectives in my deployment zone i usually have a tendency to ignore and end up attempting to capture/contest the other objectives on my opponents side...when faced with a unit as resilliant as the guard people have a tendancy to concentrate on tehm instead knowing what they can do...and i dont wanna rely on that...however ill be willin to try out rangers but again dont have the points to make them pathfinders

note: added a unit of 5 rangers

and the harlies...im not a big fan of taking small units even if they can dish out more than another unit of 2x its size...yes they can hit better and possibly get a ap2 hit in and even have a limited range at which they can be fired upon but the scorpions do the same thing to a certain extent and are a bit cheaper

now with the hth part of the army...yes scorpions are pretty much the only hth unit ive got...but hopefully with them tagin along with the guard they will have some decent back up...which in reality will be reversed, the scorpions will be cleaning up what the guard cant and hopefully will not prolong hth for too long...then there are always the lords, but i hope it wont come to that as i want to maximize the amount of firepower they can dish out
