So this morning I've been looking at gettting scouts to make arbites (thanks for the ispiration dakka!). Looking at the shotgun rules I have a question.

In the rules book it shows they can use solid shot or manstopper shells. Both are 12" range, ap - assult 2 but ones s3 and ones s4 - is this a typo? Is there an extra rule I'm missing? if not what's the point of a solid shot shell when you could use the higher strength manstopper?

Also - do people use shotguns and if so are they useful and what for?

Thanks!

I'm coming to get you

Yep, I know what hes one about. Its the referance section at the end of the BGB & it lists the "Solid shot" & "Man stopper" which just arent prescent in the SM dex.

Neways, the SM dex takes prescedence so go with that.

There is a similiar problem with the Particle whip not having any special rule * next to it meaning it sudnt have ne addition rules - which is just nonsense.

ah, ok, thanks for that. It's also in the BRB now too. What are the actual rules for them if you don't mind me asking? (I haven't and won't have acess to the book for a couple of months now boo hoo)

Thats the things - it simply has one profile with no additional rules for it. 12" Str 4 ap - assault 2. From the SM dex

Course, to make Arbites you are probably using the With Hunters codex, which has different stats than the Marine codex. Anyways, once you decide which codex you are using, look up the weapon in that codex.
