Only use for the chaos sorcerer is the use of lash of submission and thats higly situotinal and pricy. Do you have any ideas to use sorcerer because i don't.

Every time I hear "in my opinion" or "just my opinion" makes me want to strangle a puppy. People use their opinions as a shield that other poeple can't critisize and that is bs.

If you can't defend or won't defend your opinion then that "opinion" is bs. Stop trying to tip-toe and defend what you believe in.

Not really. He can be instantly killed and so is rather vulnerable in cc or when he is on his own.
If he joins a squad, then the shooting of the squad incl. lash is handled simultaneously which diminishes the use of the lash (first lashing then shooting).
Better think about a DP with some psychic powers. He's much tougher.

Only reason to use the sorc is if you know you will get your lash-DPs shot up by supreme firepower and need to hide him in units. Usually only applies to bigger games.

Also, Chaos Sorcerers can have Personal Icons, extra psychic powers thanks to Familiars, Terminator armour (meaning combi-weapons...), can be carried in transports, ride bikes (with the Skilled Rider USR) and Daemonic Steeds, and join units.

A Sorcerer of Tzeentch can enhance his psychic powers with Warptime, or cast two Gifts of Chaos.

A Sorcerer of Nurgle can take both Warptime and Nurgle's Rot.

A Sorcerer in Terminator Armour can use Warptime to ensure that the Melta shot from his Combi-Melta hits and wounds, and can shrug off shots that will eventually drop a Daemon Prince.

The eye of terror.

I like a sorceror of tzeentch with wings, warp time, and doom bolt. The two powers synergize nicely.

Don't forget that the sorcerer is not fearless, however.

True, but if they are by themselves they'd get shot up before they needed to worry about morale check. Only take them in Fearless units so they will also be fearless untill that unit's dead.

In my own Death Guard army I have on many occasions run a sorcerer equipt with wind of chaos,I join him with a sqaud of 6 PM's (x2 flammers & power fist) in a rhino and together they make a nasty little unit which I've had a good bit of success with.

In high point games Sorcerers can be better than Princes, especially with Lash, as there's much more firepower on the board and thus it's easier to shoot and kill the Princes by themselves. Stick a sorcerer in a PM squad, for instance, and he's not going to go anywhere for a while.

Hmm I wonder how these would turn out..
10 zerkers
1 AC with fist
sorcerer + warptime+dual lightning claws

or

10 raptors
1 AC with fist
sorcerer + warptime + wings + dual lightning claws
I know both are kinda pricey but seems like a pretty nice blender.

Sorcs can't take weapon upgrades.

Lash is actually one of the cheaper chaos powers. It's also not very situational at all. It's very good and versatile, pushing units off of objectives, grouping units for templates, pulling them closer for assaults. It's very good.

A majority of the sorcerer upgrades (like, well all of them beyond marks and a single power) make it an overpriced model. Sorcs are just good at carrying lashes in units to give them a few more wounds and a little more survivability. If you want to deck a sorcerer out with upgrades you should be looking into running a demon prince. Which are a lot more survivable. A sorc of Nurgle can't use both warptime and Nurgle's rot though, shame really. And the T 4 Sorc in termie armor with warptime and a combi-melta is 145 points without a mark. His low toughness means that high rate of fire weapons will be taking him out more easily even if he is saving on a 2+ or Invul 5+. For only 10 more points I can have a Lash DP that can trash most vehicles with 4 or 5 attacks in assault better than that one shot the combi-melta is taking from 6" away.

The eye of terror.

Twin lightning claws would be a complete waste of time on a sorcerer with warptime anyways.

They already get a bonus attack from force weapon/bolt pistol.

They already get re-rolls to wound because of warp time.

Yup. And if you give them a Plasma Pistol, they hit pretty hard on the way in.

Plasma pistols are pretty salty for 1 Str7 Ap2 attack before walking into a melee you might not walk out of... you might be better off with another CSM in a unit. Or with Doombolt for more AP3 attacks; you generally won't be charging terminators, and even if you are, the extra shots will probably be more useful (assuming you are Tizz marked and able to use two powers.)

The thing about Doombolt is that you'd need the Mark of Tzeentch to benefit from the Warptime's rerolls. Warptime on a un-marked Sorcerer is good if it combines with some weapon he's carrying.

As for walking into a melee you may not walk out of, either you shouldn't be charging, or 1 S7 AP2 attack that re-rolls to hit (2+) and to wound sounds handy before 5 S4 attacks that re-roll to hit and to wound. Particularly if your enemy isn't polite enough to be I4-.
