The Nova Marines mark my return to 40K after sitting out the latter half of 3rd edition and all of 4th edition. That Assault on Black Reach box just dragged me back into the Emperor's embrace...

I'm working on what will be 3rd company of the Nova Marine's, so far i have a dreadnought, 3 tactical squads painted, 2 scout bikes, 5 terminators, Chaplain w/jump pack, and the commander painted...All army markings are hand painted, Regal Blue and Skull White are the main colors, along with codex grey and Mithril silver for accents. For painting white onto a black primered model I first hit it with Space Wolves Grey to give it a nice foundation, and help the white pop better...its taking a while, since painting emblems tends to get me cross eyed...

I have scout sniper squad in progress, along with 4th and 5th squad sprayed with primer. I just picked up an assault squad and the last scout bike to round out that squad.

still on my shopping list, another assault box, 4 razorbacks, 1-2 drop pods, 1-2 Whirlwinds, 3 Vindicators, 2-3 Assault bikes, and maybe a few speeders...
