hey all.
i was wanting to do the Pig Iron heads with Cadians
that i've seen others do. i made a mock up of one and
i want to get thoughts on the tarp/bedroll idea. is it too
big, or does it work? i'm going to make them with these
rolls, some with backpacks and call them Cadin Heavy
Infantry.
thoughts and input appreciated.

Look good - I like the bedroll attached - nice touch. I look forward to seeing what you do with these guys!

I like them, adding some of the more mundane items of equiptment make them look more like they have been living in field conditions.

The large bedroll/tarps also seem to give the model balance, pic p13 shows this effectively.

Nice work so far, looking forward to seeing some paint on them.

Yip I think it works,if you don't mind the question how much did those heads from pig iron cost?

They cost £3 for 20 heads, straight from the manufacturer.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

thanks for the replies.
while i have no problem ordering from overseas,
i got them from here:
http://www.rattleheadgames.com/catalog/PIGHD2.html
and they shipped Priority Mail for like $4.00. i'd highly
recommend them. it was a "too good to be true" experience
that wasn't horrible.

I like it. You could have them as a chimera 'steel legion' like company. that'd look good. stick up a pic of them when you have it painted so I can see the detail of the face!

Speaking of the Pig Iron models, has anyone gotten or seen in person one of the wardroids? I was wondering if they were of the dreadnaught scale or more of a terminator or oblit scale. Thanks.

I think it works very well maybe you could try positioning the roll just behind the shoulders. But its up to personal preferance really

Wardroids are bigger than terminators and although they have a kind of block aesthetic, they are slimmer.

Arms are longer as well.

Good starting point for anyone wanting to use "pre-heresy" Adeptus Mechanicus robot units, though. (I use one as a heavy weapon [plasma cannon] servitor.)

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

"... maybe you could try positioning the roll just behind the shoulders..."
the only problem with that is the "shoulder pads" get in the way.
thanks again For the input folks!

Oh, here and there.

I use those very same bedrolls on my guard, but I put them on the back, right behing the neck. Resting on that back "notch". Looks great so far!

NEED COMMISSION ARTWORK FOR MY MINIATURE GAME! PM ME FOR DETAILS. That is all.
