Meta has hit the streets like a dire troll slugging an argus.

Spoilers aplenty in the faction forums on privateer's boards.

I've only read the troll stuff - they get a fat gypsy warlock, a character Dragoon, whelps, and a 3-man wizard unit.

Circle gets:

Mohsar, the Desertwalker for their new warlock. He's an Omnipotent, a rank of druid we haven't seen yet.

A Wolf of Orboros dragoon riding a wolf.

A new unit of female Tharn.

Megalith character heavy warbeast with an Affinity for Baldur.


Edit: Trolls also get an anti-cavalry unit.

From the troll forum, sounds like people generally think the factions that did well are (in order): Skorne, Legion, Circle, Trolls. But, I think people always downgrade their own faction.

Forgot about he Fennblades. They're cheap, but presumably still a medium base. They don't sound OMG but useful. Trollkin with Reach, they're crunchy but cheap. With all the Troll buffs, they could work alright.

I don't think people necessarily downgrade their own faction's new stuff. Cygnar players knew right away when they got the Squire that they made out like bandits for Legends. But there always is a "grass is always greener" effect, I suppose.

I completely agree about the Fennblades. Put the +2 to hit Fell Call on them, run them into melee, and pop Epic Madrak's feat. That's a whole mess of dead infantry right there.

The Circle stuff is pretty decent. Both Mohsar and eKrueger sound pretty good, though their feats are kind of meh.

The problem with any new unit for Trolls is that a unit of Champs usually isn't that many more points unless you just take a base unit of 6 KWs or FBs. And then the unit is small and fragile.

I know that melee is 'their thing', but I wish they had gotten some better ranged support in Meta.

Trolls still seem to suffer from the ork basic tactic - go get 'em! Having more tactial variety would be nice. There's basically Grim, and then all the other casters are more 'brick-centric'. I haven't read up on eDoomshaper or the new Gypsy warlock, so they might break that.

I cant wait to pick it up... I'm still at school but I'm going the second I leave to buy that book..

I'm still kinda sad that Circle didnt get the Beaver though... oh well.

I'm sad that Skorne didn't get Blastoise.

Anyway, apparently the PP forums had to reset themselves back to Saturday, wiping out many of the spoilers. But Gurudojo has them, so I'm linking it here if any one wants to check them out.

Nah, the PP boards had a rumor that Skorne was going to get a desert lizard with two cannons on its back. A lot of Skorne players didn't think it was funny. Good times.

It's cool. It happened in like the first 5 pages. I'm excited too because it promises big changes for his/her epic version.

Wow. That is a huge difference and certainly more powerful. Still, no other caster->epic caster has ever kept such similar effects on their feat.

What I read on the TB forums, is that eMakeda brings back destroyed models to their original unit only. So, if you wipe out the whole unit, they're toast. Not owning Meta, I can't confirm that.

Of course, if you just get to the crunchy center of the Skorne army (eMakeda) while bypassing her troops, it doesn't matter. And playing Trolls, we have sooooooo many good assassination methods. /sarcasm off

eMakeda's feat reads like it's the same deal. Return to units.

The circle stuff is mighty sweet.
eKrueger makes Ravagers even nastier and faster than they were before.
Moshar has two spells that RFP enemy models, one before and one after destruction. Plus, he's got a mighty fine ranged attack. He has some cool anti-beast/jack stuff too.

I haven't read through everything yet, but I'm not disappointed in anything I've seen yet (except for Megalith not having Hammerfist). I don't know who started that false rumor, but that was just mean.

By all accounts, Skorne did benefit the most. Though common opinion also recognized that they needed the biggest boost.

That Moshar almost makes me wanna play circle....almost

The PP forums suffered a massive hardware failure a few days ago. It came back for a while without the General Discussion forum, then they reset the forum back to Saturday to recover it (deleting a lot of spoilers in the process), then it evidently crashed again. Hopefully they can figure it out soon.

Don't worry. There are spoilers on this site. It's just going to take some time to get them done.
