This is a Space Marine Chaplain which I recently painted. It is, most definitely, the best paintjob I have ever done.

This picture is a bit funky, actually. Since he's so shiny, the light reflected off the one side of his chest eagle and made it look as though that was the only side I'd highlighted...

He looks infinitely better in real life.

Once I was done with everything else, I glazed over his armor with several coats of Vallejo clear gloss. It makes it look like his armor is polished. Then I put a Badab Black wash over everything.

C&C?

Looks Good

Only things I can think of are:

1. possibly highlight the crozius with a layer of Burnished gold, and then wash it with devlan mud/ a wash of thinned Dark flesh. It will help the gold to pop a little more, right now (at least in your pics) it looks a bit...bland?

2. Paint the stormbolter shells. (unless you want em to stay black... )

3. You put those cool little lines of text on all of the purity seals, but his loincloth parchment thingy is still blank. Maybe add some there too for consistency?

Besides that, its looking great so far.

*insert witticism here*

Don't say "Ever." You've not yet reached the apex of your skill. Keep improving, its the attitude that makes you get better.

This is good, so congratulations. I wouldn't mind a clearer photo though.

I really like it, definitely captures the dark nature of the chaplain and draws attention to his commendations. You should definitely put some work into his base to give him the finishing touches!

Nuclear: Properly pronounced new-clear, not new-cue-lir. There is no 'u' between the c and l, so stop saying it because it just makes you sound like a dumbass. This includes nucleolus, and all other derivatives of the word.

A few of the pictures are a bit fuzzy, but it looks like some real nice work.

Based him a few weeks ago. He has an urban style base, which I will attempt to photograph soon...

you should highlight the edges with greys. just layer a dark gray all along the edges and then layer up to white
