Does anybody know if the SM/CSM/Chaos Warrior (from fantasy) limbs and sprues are still compatible? I might be getting a box of each to make a Red Corsair/Renegade army, and the limb swapping is a simple conversion. IIRC though the warriors were recently upscaled, so this might pose a problem...

Do a search and PM kid kyoto. I believe he was the one that did the Custodes conversions using chaos warband guys. Quite excellent.

How much were the warriors upscaled? I had a box when they were redone a few years ago, and I swap helmets, limbs and sometimes torsos with CSM/Marines quite often. I don't know how much bigger they are now though.

The only problem I've had is the Chaos Warrior arms connect to the bodies at the elbow, not the shoulder, so it takes some cutting to get them together sometimes.

Not too bad, I just used a bunch of arms and heads from the Chaos Chosen and Chaos Knights and they look fine.

The hole for heads is larger than the SM hole and needs green stuff.

The limbs are completely different. Chaos warriors have a front torso with armor, and a back with the cape and the upper arms, then the lower arms are separate. You can cut up CSM arms to fit or just swap weapons but it is a pain.

I was kinda kicking around the idea of doing a slaanesh army once the bugs were done, and I was gonna use some Fantasy bits. Well, good to know I suppose. You may have just saved me some cash!

yeah GW really missed the boat on these. the chest are also a different size so it's a real pain to fit a marine chest plate into the cape and arm part.

But wait!

You can infact make the conversions work. You just need to make selective use of bits. Also, if you cut the torsos off above the beltbuckle of the chaos warriors, you can use marine torso's. These are the basis of "doghouse" style marines. Search "doghouse" on Bolter and Chainsword.
