I often end up partnering my lizards with my friend's high elves for some 2 vs. 2 battles, and we've become quite proficient at working together. Using the older army books the Nike oldblood with great weapon often backed up the null stone gryphon lord to take down even the peskiest lords. What armies to people like to team up with any why?

High Elves and Dark Elves.

At 2000 points each.
HE lord on dragon
1 level 2 mage with staff scorcery for +2 to dispel
BSB on horse with battle banner (goes in dragon princes)
Core as you like it (but minimum)
Dragon prince unit
Other specials as you like it my preference is white lions to get through forests.
4 repeater Bolt throwers

DE level 4 mage on pegasus with focus familiar + scrolls
Level 2 mage
BSB with Banner murder (goes in black guard)
Dark riders or x-bowmen for core + 2 units harpeis for march block
Black Guard + banner ASF
2 hydras.

If you want to run that runit run it properly.

High Elves
lord on dragon
dragon mage
swordmaster
rest is up to you

Dark Elves
lord on dragon
noble on manticore
2 hydras
ASF black guard
dark riders

Now 4 dragons and 2 hydras is just plain wrong.

Combo armies sometimes are fun to play. What I really like about it is that you can learn about other armies somewhat.

My daughter plays HE as she likes magic and shooting. I play the Bretonnia as I prefer close combat and moving. Our armies really complement each other very well as we and compete at all phases of the game. HE with magic and shooting, the knights with moving and close combat.

I played with the WE once and their extra movement spell was wonderful allowing me to get the charge off.

I am sure that there are other combos that work out just as well. I am really looking forward to hearing about them.
