Alright, so I started up a succesor chapter to the black templars, and they are weird in a few ways. For starters, even though they follow the black templars, they strictly follow the codex astartes (so I'm using the vanilla sm codex), and they have their aesthetics follow after gray knights (they are very knightly, have a lot of tabards, robes, sword icons, etc...)

Anyway, for a squad of close combat terminators, I've been thinking of using a box of Gray Knight terminators I have lying around. The only issue is, I want to convert them accordingly so they look the part a little bit more. I'm doing a mix of either 2 TH/SS and 3 lightning claws, or 3 TH/SS and 2 lightning claws. Anyway, I was thinking of taking the guys with the long polearm force weapons, and using those as the thunder hammers, and for the shields, I kinda want to tack on some spare dreadnought face plates. I think they would make for cool tower shield kinda bits. Any opinions on this?

As for the lightning claws, I'm going to use the guys with sword force weapons... and I may just leave them as that and inform my opponents that they are very counts as, because I can't think of an easy conversion to do with this that wouldn't ruin their looks. Any advice for this?

Edit: I may use the sheathed power swords that come in the black templar's chapter upgrade box and hand them at the sides of the sword-force weapon wielders. Though they will still be shown holding a single sword and their shooty gray knights weapons, they will have a second sword visible on them, to make them more WYSISYG.
