Hello,

I am continually asked to play at the 400 point game level by friends. I don't normally do this but they are wanting to get as many games in as possible at the FLGS. Anyway, what would you suggest using in a 400 point list? I can't think of anythig. I have most of the troop choices like plague bearers and bloodletters. I would need some shooting but cant decide. Any thoughts?

Club me. Ain't I cute?

Geez. Do any armies work at 400? I'd imagine if a greater daemon was ever to be percieved as indestructible, it would be at the 400 point level. Maybe a Bloodthirster and some Plaguebearers? As far as shooting, maybe a pimped Herald of Tzeentch then some 'letters or 'bearers.

Worship me.

GUO
5 plaguebearers
5 plaguebearers
3 fiends

fiends give you a bit of mobility and rending to chase vehicles.
GUO is likely to have most of the job done.

I don't know but my buddy takes 4 speeders and scouts at 400 points. I can't take models with more than 2 wounds and or a 2 plus save, or a vehicle with armor more than 33 front back side per those rules. I'm having a tough time. I thought about flamers but I think they would get PWNed before they got to do anything.

horror spam then =)

3*5 horrors with bolt, 1 changeling.
bluescribes.

1st wave: 2 horrors squads, one with scribes attached.
speeders first, then pavane the scouts out of cover and kill them with horrors.

Combat Patrol Daemons, eh?

You're not going to take any HQ's, then (or I'd suggest not doing so, as the heralds aren't going to add much). DP's and soul grinders are also out.

Assuming you want to have people not hate you, I'd stay away from bloodcrushers.

3 flamers
7 Plaguebearers /w icon
10 Bloodletters

Don't settle for the pewter horde! Visit http://www.bkarmypainting.com and find out how you can have a well-painted army quickly at a reasonable price.

Thanks! I actually have these models! I do own 8 BC though. I don't care if I'm hated! ;-)

Combat Patrols can be EASILY broken and are not worth playing of someone takes an army meant to beat you down in 3 seconds. I played against an Ork Combat Patrol that consisted of 45 models. Pointless + a waste of time since it was painfully obvious there was no beating it.

Since you have to split up your forces, perhaps make that Bloodletter unit 5 and 5 so you have mobility as well as being able to have an even number of units for your Daemonic Assault (just in case). I don't play Daemons (yet) so I don't know a whole lot of their tactics... but that seems sound to me (plus they can always follow each other around anyways)
