Well, here's a strip and repaint of my farseer, as well as another warlock. This time, I really put a lot of work into the freehanding, and put less emphasis on washes and drybrushing, I let the basecoat and inking do that bit for me. Overall, it resulted in a brighter, more active look, and I like that. Eldar are pretty fun to paint, and are a huge change from the mostly monocolour orks and Grey Knights that I usually do. I ended up painting the Warlock first, as a sort of 'test bed' for the freehanding and painting techniques I'd use on the farseer. I hope you enjoy.

The detail is great, although the base color (particularly on the helmet) looks a bit thick. Maybe dilute the paint a bit more and apply more, thinner layers. The color scheme is very nice and I like to contrast between the white, blue, and metallic colors

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

Nice job. Eldar usually look better in brighter colors. Wow thats a fairly old warlock isnt it?

The paint job looks good, I agree that Eldar usually look better with bright colors.

You might show a little love to the weapon handles and straighten them out a bit.

It could be worse, you could be on fire.

Loving the runes on those cloaks, Fafnir. The armor color also came out very nice. More please!

There are no new Warlocks.

Like these models. One thing, though, bend that Farseer's sword hilt back in place.
I'm interested to see how you do your Guardians now. Keep up the good work.

The Farseer's hilt is actually straight, it's just the camera angle makes it look bent.

As for the singing spear, that's how it looked AFTER I fixed it. The spear is actually miss-alligned in his hand, so I can't really fix it any more then it is now.

Sorry guys, but that's a sword in his right hand (the bent one). That's a dagger in his left (the pointing one). If it were a spear, there wouldn't be a hilt. There'd be a haft.

I like the Farseer, but the Warlock's robe design doesn't seem to have come off as well, especially on the back.
