Just looking for suggestions on how to make these in a relatively uniform fashion. Also looking at possibly adding them to leg armor, so an adaptable technique would be great! Thanks!

about the best thing i can think of is small plastic rods (about 3mm thick)
then simply cut them and glue in place, if you want a curved top rather than just flat then gently use a lighter, it will get rid of any sharp looking edges.

Suffused with the dying memories of Sanguinus, the warriors of the Death Company seek only one thing: death in battle fighting against the enemies of the Emperor.

Model shops that sell wooden ship models carry brass tacks/nails that end in studs that are the right size. You'd have to spend a pretty decent amount of time clipping off the pointy bitz of them, though. I'm considering doing it myself, but I'm not sure yet.

Yep, it's where I got the idea for it. Can't remember which staffer did it, but I remember seeing some WIPs for a wicked pre-Heresy Death Guard using them. Hot stuff. Wish I knew where to find the pics for those.

*Edit: Actually if you go to Oz GW's website, they've got pics of a bunch of pre-Heresy marines here: http://oz.games-workshop.com/games/40k/spacemarines/painting/pre_heresy/2.htm

And whose are my favorites that I remember the best? Dave Taylor's, as usual.

Does anyone have a link to these? I did a google search, but not knowing what I'm looking for exactly, or how to word it, I didn't find them...

Thanks for all the help so far!
