I'm wanting to do an army of them.. Unfortunately the Daemons of Chaos army book seems to be based on inter-god cooperation and I don't want to cheese out with Tzeentch, I don't want any gross looking stuff from Nurgle and Khorne just doesn't "jive" with me. So, the question for Dakka Dakka is: How do you effectively play a mono-god DoC list in WHFB without being a total push over or a total cheddar head?
I was thinking a Lvl 4 Keeper of Secrets, 3 Heralds of Slaanesh(one as a BSB with the -2 LD banner), 2 minimized units of Furies and as many Daemonettes as the points would allow.
I'd upgrade all of the heralds to lvl 1 wizards to help contribute to magic defense and I'd give each unit an icon of the siren song so I can control my opponent's charges to allow me to massacre units with ASF and to hide from their shooting by putting myself into close combat. Are these good tactics? Would they lose me friends? Would they lose me an excess of games?

Point and Click Slaanesh
Lev 4 KOS- the slowed item that forces a charge or flee.
BSB herald on steed- Standard of sundering
Herald on steed (lev 1 if want)
x2 10 daemonettes
x2-3 units of 5 mtd daemonettes
X2 units of 2-3 fiends
Harpies to fill
Items on the heralds and what is left on the KOS up to you.
I fought a similar list at 2250pts at a tourney with my lizardmen last year, he went first and I conceded at the end of his turn 2, as he had wiped out over 1000 points and had surrounded the rest.
Go bananas and take what I suggested and you will win, but you will lose friend (in that they won't want to play you). Go 4 heralds, no standard of sundering, no 'have to charge or flee' item and you will be competative, but will not lose friends.

KOS decked out as you see fit but Etherblade make it fun for you!
Herald BSB with Sundering Mounted
Herald Mounted
3x10 Daemonettes
2x6 Seekers cmd siren std (heralds join here) 6 because 5 with command means you do not get a look out sir(or mam as the case may be)
Fiends
Add the masque for cheese factor.
If oponent goes first and moves 5"or more you are charging turn 1.
And with 3 casters using the number 1 spell (make opponents stupid) You can realy make an army stop and think about what you are doing to them.

Soooo... here's a bunch of questions that are flooding my mind:
What's the importance of the Sundering banner? To assist in magic defense? Looking at the list I was contemplating I'd have 7 dispel dice. Unfortunately I don't think mono-Slaanesh DoC have access to dispel scrolls or equivalent items, but with most units being supported by a hero rocking magic resistence (1) wouldn't 7 dispel dice prove effective?
Besides, if I load up on Siren standard Icons and Siren Song Daemonic Gifts I could force my opponent to charge units on their turn and deny them the ability to target my forces with their magic and shooting as I'd be in close combat (except for skaven and certain spells that can be casted into close combat)
Also, is the additional poisoned attack really make the seekers that much more dangerous? Their mobility is a huge asset, but still, they would be getting charges at the same time as the foot slogging daemonettes (turns 1-2) so why not invest in more daemonttes? Preferably I'd rather not go with Seekers as it appears that GW doesn't have models for them which would force me to come up with some conversions for them and conversions never end cheaply..
If I take Seekers or Fiends does it even make sense to take Furies?
What role do Fiends serve? Flank support? What size units do people run? I'd think 3-5 in typical ogre style would be effective.. They do come on 40mm bases, right?
Also, are daemonettes mounted on 20mm bases or 25mm?

Seekers and fiends have many of the same roles but seekers are better at all of them.
Seekers, as fast cav, are far far more maneuverable than daemonettes.
The -2 ld banner and the mask char (usually) are so that slicing shards will annihilate a unit in on casting. How many tests will you have to take until you pass on a -4??

what does the masque do? right now I'm still very on the fence in regards to the project. I haven't even got an army book yet, I've just been toying around with their army on army builder, so my knowledge is limited..

Masque has 2 dances (at start of magic phase lasting until end of opponents turn) target 1 unit
1) -d3 leadership
2) -d3 movement
Masque combined with herald using icon of great despair can cause 1 unit to have a -3to -5 leadership.
Combine that with 1st spell which makes opponent unit stupid for rest of game (not RIP). means they have to test with a reduced leadership
Masque has 3+ ward and is not bad in combat.

Negativemoney has been exceptionally successful with his Slaanesh DoC army; hopefully he see's this and can post.
Generally, if you're going pure Slaanesh then you're going to go for a LD Bomb army.
Kipper w/ Siren, and other kit, mainly the gift that makes people take LD tests to attack you.
-2 LD Banner on the BSB who is on a steed
Masque to further reduce LD
Another Level 1 Caster for more DD & another shot at the stupidity spell.
3x10 Daemonettes. Daemon Core units are generally cheerleaders for the rest of the army, for pure Slaanesh this is true more than other lists. Still, at M6 and a lot of attacks they can shred some units.
Seekers are decent but fragile. The "only hold from charges" banner is great. I've mainly seen these guys used in Conjunction with a Keeper charge to make sure enemy units can't flee from your Keeper.
Fiends are actually pretty good stuff - they're just outshone by Flamers in a overall comparison. Still they're pretty good. You could run a full unit of them (3 wide) or you could run lone Fiends who become M10 Warmachine/Wizard hunters.
