Well not entirely new, but hitting the time in my life where I have a sufficient income and time to allow me to get involved in tournament play. With the introduction of 5th edition I think now is a great time to fall in love with tabletop "all over again."

I am planning on a joint Daemonhunters/Sisters army which I will play at 1750 or 1850 depending on tournament restrictions. I plan on running 3 Dreads and a unit of Grey Knight Terminators with the army, simply because I love them to death and had already purchased and painted them. Still working on the final lists but I will share when I get something a little more solid. I'm thinking 2 squads of PAGK, 2 Squads of Celestians in Immolators, and 2 squads of SOB in Rhinos. Any thoughts or insight will be greatly appreciated.

I live in Lacey, WA and am planning on getting involved at the local shop. I have a wife and an 8 year old daughter, both of whom I adore!

I look forward to getting more involved on these forums, I think this is the most intelligent and articulate bunch of 40k wonks I've run across so far!

Best,

Purgatus

Whichever they are, I'm not on the Reich ones, clearly.

My wife is being very supportive thus far. I think she figures it's a fair trade for me not playing very many video games any more (not so much a formal agreement as much as I just stopped playing once I picked up 40k again.) She is interested in painting some of the figs with me (we'll see how long that lasts), and she laughed at my friends batrep that he posted to his facebook account... all things considered so far so good!
